The Road to X-Conference

One month from now I will be unwinding after flying back from Washington D.C. and attending the X-Conference. The Road to X-Conference, therefore, kicks into high gear as we enter the final weeks prior to the big festivities. Due to circumstances explained in End Notes, the Road to X-Conference will also become a new regular Tuesday feature @ binnallofamerica.com. That's right, a double dose of X-Conference coverage as things heat up heading to Washington.

This past weekend, the folks at X-Con rolled out the schedule of speakers for the conference. (or, at least, I first noticed the published schedule last weekend) This means I will be hunkering down and begin plotting my course of action as to which lectures and workshops I will have to check out and which may have to go by the wayside as some are scheduled opposite of each other. I'm hoping to reveal a tenative schedule of my own sometime soon. As always, their schedule is subject to change, as is mine.

For this week's installment of "The Road", I wanted to look at some of the C2C "stars" who will be in attendance at X-Con. We begin, of course, with Richard Dolan who appeared on Coast earlier this month. The exact topic he will be discussing has not been announced yet, but one presumes it deals with his forte of Ufology and National Security.

Many will recall the much discussed Charles Hall, who appeared on C2C this past January with Paola Harris. Both will be on hand at X-Conference to discuss Hall's story. Hall appears to be doing the UFO convention circuit for now and Harris will be his quasi-spokesperson. The reaction Hall gets from his appearance will be one story coming out of X-Con, as well as how much of a "draw" he is.

Frequent Coast guest and ancient language guru, Michael Heiser will also be a speaker at X-Conference. Heiser is hyped as a devout Christian and does an excellent job of discussing the UFO phenomenon from a Christian perspective. He makes an excellent addition to Mons. Balducci, the featured speaker at Saturday night's banquet.

Another great Coast guest appearing in Washington will be Dr.Michael Salla. Salla is an excellent expolitical researcher and his book "Exopolitics" is a must-read for any serious student of the field. Salla is one of the forerunners of this new field of research and his appearance at X-Conference marks his return to Washington, having appeared last year as well. Coast fans may remember him from appearing in February of 2004, discussing Eisenhower's purported meeting with aliens, or in August of 2004, discussing the various races of aliens claimed by the multitude of sources in Ufology.

Many of the other folks appearing at X-Conference have made a few appearances on C2C, including David Sereda, who appeared last June with Art Bell to talk about California UFOs and his new film with Dan Akroyd, which will be screened at the Conference. Phoenix Lights researcher and one-time C2C guest Lynn Kitei is another Coast featured researcher who will be in Washington that weekend. Ufology legends Dr.Bruce Maccabee, Robert and Ryan Wood, and Stanton Friedman have also both appeared on C2C and will be appearing at X-Conference, so it's a veritable plethora of C2C Ufology guests who will be in attendance.

Speaking of Friedman ... I promised a nice little story about how I ran Stanton Friedman's slide projector at last year's X-Conference. This story will run on Tuesday @ binnallofamerica.com, in favor of shortening up this week's installment of "The Road". Also on Tuesday, a surprise for the many readers of binnallofamerica.com who may be at X-Conference this year.
