Over the last few weeks, I've teased and hinted a lot about a "new era" beginning and a bunch of other malarky. I can safely say, today, that the new era of BoA has begun. For the foreseeable future, I will be dedicating myself to the BoA brand on an almost full time basis. I can't get into the vagaries of how this change came about, but it is not without it's pitfalls, I assure you. The road ahead is perilous and may end up costly in the long run, but it is a risk I am willing to take.
I know a good thing when I see it and I know that BoA is a juggernaut that just begun to take off from the launching pad. It is, of course, all thanks to the great visitors of binnallofamerica.com and the great listeners of BoA : Audio. I humbly thank you for making BoA a part of your lives and I hope you enjoy our evolution as we now turn it loose and see just how far we can go with this baby. To steal a phrase from Winston Churchill, "This is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning."
This week ... well, we don't have too much in the way of reviews, only because I was stuck with handling the final details of settling some affairs prior to this whole "new era" thing and I couldn't listen to much C2C, if any. I do my best to bring you some of the comments I got regarding the various episodes, though. I'll explain more in The Week That Was. We do look ahead to some potential gems next week including a discussion on Aquatic Apes and Malachi Martin. We dip into the mailbag to discuss potential future binnall conference coverage and the infamous Quayle Watch. We look back in C2C history including the stunning discovery of an episode where Jeff Rense appeared on C2C, 7 years ago this week. And, to top it all off, my spies sent some pics of the C2C gang celebrating 4th of July, only in Hot Newz.
So ... let's begin.
The Week That Was
As I alluded to in the intro, I missed almost the entire week of C2C, save for the first hour of Monday's show where Noory shared his big "revelation" about JFK. I'll walk you through the week, with some help from BoA's Lesley and others, and hopefully we'll guide you as to what was good and what wasn't.
We left off last week with Ian Punnett assuming the guest host spot on Friday night and handling the Friday into Saturday Open Lines. In her C2C Rewind over @ The Debris Field, Lesley said, "Ian Punnet filled in on the big Friday night show. This was the best Friday night show in ages. Mark Hall was the guest for about a hour and he talked about thunderbirds and other giant birds and owls. I can't hear enough about giant birds. I just love that subject! Then Richard Hoagland showed up to give out some of his info on the shuttle that came from his "secret inside source." Apparently NASA didn't want the shuttle to take off and they want to have an excuse to scrap the shuttle program, according to RCH."
Lesley also caught Lisa Garr's guest hosting spot on C2C Live on Saturday with Mark Lerner and Jeffrey Mishlove as guests ... Lisa Garr filled in for Ian. Her guests were Astrologer Mark Lerner and parapsychologist Jeffrey Mishlove. I listened briefly, but didn't care for the topic of Astrology, nothing against Lisa as host.
And, thankfully, Lesley also recapped Ian's guest hosting spot on C2C proper Saturday with guest Seth Shostak : "Ian hosted as Art is still trying to get a setup that works. First hour was Richard Hoagland, he returned to bask in the glory of being right for a change, the shuttle did not take off, just as he predicted. The full show was Seth Shostak, the guy who makes it so easy to hate SETI. I listened to his reasons that aliens would be using radio signals and wasn't a bit convinced. Do I think SETI has had signals and covered them up? I don't. I don't believe it very likely that aliens use radio signals and I think Shostak is honestly clueless about aliens. I couldn't listen to the entire show, it was the same old Shostak answers and pretty much the same questions only from Ian rather than George."
Big thanks to Lesley for providing the recaps. You really ought to check out her weekly C2C recap column, C2C Rewind.
Sunday night, George Knapp was the guest host and apparently put together another stellar episode, featuring William Birnes, and the husband and wife team of Don and Vicki Ecker and it was a proverbial "State of Ufology" episode. theusofe.com's De Sota gave us the low down on how the episode was "I finally listened to the show and thought it was pretty good. It was a nice "secular" overview of the UFO subject with some of the most famous people in the biz. By secular I mean they weren't pushing a particular take on UFOs.
I just wish George Knapp hadn't screwed up the breaks. Stopping a conversation in full momentum like that just doesn't work. And of course there were the callers with their stupid stories, but that's to be expected Then came Monday's return of The Noor. I caught the first hour with Noory's JFK revelation and I was sufficiently disappointed. The mob did it ?! That's all you've got. The hype job on this one was through the roof and the payoff was pitiful. For shame, Noor, for shame. I wish he'd gotten Jim Marrs on to dissect this "revelation", but instead he opted for Lamar Waldron in the first hour.
The full show guest was Cliff Pickover, talking about Parallel Universes. No buzz on this one, so I can't say much about it.
In a sort of neat juxtaposition, on Tuesday, Richard C. Hoagland was the pop-in, talking about the recent Shuttle mission. Then the full show guest was more mainstream space guy David Darling, talking about cosmic mysteries. I presume RCH was in rare form, as he was racking up appearances all week, it seems.
Wednesday was the mysterious George L., talking about the alien mind. I haven't heard too much about this one, but everyone over @ theusofe.com was raving about GL before he appeared, so I suspect this one was pretty decent. I hope to catch it this weekend when I have more time.
Thursday wrapped up the week with Robert Zimmerman, also talking about space news. Most people seemed to dig Zimmy a lot and appreciated that he did his research.
Obviously I am terribly sorry for having missed so much in the past week. I assure you that I will be catching the Sunday George Knapp episode and the GL episode and hope to have my thoughts on them for you all next week. I should also be finally settled into a new rhythm now and will be catching C2C more often than not for the Summer at least.
The Week That Is
We kick it off tonight with The Noor hosting Friday into Saturday Open Lines. No word on the pop-in, but I'd be willing to wager we'll hear from Hoagland.
Saturday, on Ian, Khyron's favorite C2C guest host, Ross Mitchell, will be sitting in for Mr.Punnett. Mitchell's guest will be Neil Slade, talking about the human brain and all it's magical splendor.
Following that, on C2C proper, Ian steps in as guest host once again to welcome Doreen Virtue, who sounds like a certified nut. She'll be on to talk about Indigo Children, something called the Aquatic Ape Theory, which sounds fantastic, and other far out stuffs. Should be a wild one. I, for one, cannot wait to hear the Aquatic Ape Theory.
Sunday night, we remain Bell-less, as Art is trying to get his set-up going in the Philippines. In his stead will be a replay from 3.27.2005, consisting of Open Lines with a theme of "the impending oil crisis." Here's my review from the 4.1.2005 binnall report : "Sunday was a special Oil Open Lines. As far as open lines episodes go, it was in the upper-tier, with the strong theme applied, unlike most "pot luck" Friday nights. That said, Bell's insistence on reading a lengthy excerpt from Rolling Stone and his strong belief in "peak oil" dragged the episode down from outright "stellar.""
Monday, The Noor is back in action and he's got Brother Michael Dimond on to talk about Malachi Martin, Fatima, the anti-christ and other apocalyptic type stuffs. Sounds killer. Depending on Dimond's level of charisma, this could be a classic.
Tuesday, the guest will be Pamela Rae Heath, who will be discussing psychokinesis. Pretty standard fare. Noory should dig it, so it may be better than average.
Wednesday, it's good old TBA. Who will it be ? We'll find out on Wednesday (or whenever C2C posts the guest). Insert obligatory Jordan Maxwell request ... here.
Thursday, Dr. Bernard Haisch is the guest. The topic is bridging science and spirituality. Good luck with that, Dr. Bernard. This one may bring out some of Noory's strengths, so don't pass on it just yet.
Decent week, although kind of heavy on the alternative science stuff. Hopefully the Aquatic Ape Theory and Brother Dimond will be stand outs.

Letter #1 :
Tim, just finished listening to the Gary McKinnon interview. Once again, I think your interview is the best one I've heard.
His reference to potential 911 data that he refused to discuss certainly
is tantalizing, isn't it?
Looking forward to season two and any specials you come up with over the summer. Will you be covering the MUFON convention? How about the Crash Retrieval Conference in November?
Thanks,
Ralph Thanks for the props, Ralph. I also found that 911 bit to be pretty tantalizing, myself, and it opens up a myriad of questions, that sadly, we haven't gotten the answers to yet.
Part of the "new era" for BoA includes expanded coverage of stuff like conferences. I expect to make quite a few trips in the upcoming year. I can say, for certain, that I will not be attending the MUFON conference. Perhaps next year. I am almost certain that I will be attending the Crash Retrieval Conference in November. Expect a definitive announcement sometime in the Fall.
Thanks again for the high praise. Stay tuned to BoA, as we have a ton of good stuff in the pipeline.
Letter #2 :
Tim,
I am confused about Quayle Watch. Why do you have it at your site ? Steve Quayle doesn't appear all that often on C2C.
Thanks,
Jerry in Hartford, CT Good question, Jerry. I've been meaning to address this for quite some time. Back in 2004 when we started Quayle Watch, Steven Quayle was appearing on C2C with reckless abandon. He actually racked up an astounding 16 appearances that year. Last year, Quayle's appearances were halved and he only appeared 8 times, making the Quayle Watch almost moot. This year, he is on pace to hit about 10 appearances for the year.
We began Quayle Watch as a companion to Hoags to Hoags AM and also as an inside joke between myself and Joe Vee, who is a devoted Quayle fan. Despite the seemingly diminished appearances from Quayle, I expect we'll keep the joke going as long as possible.
Don't be surprised if you see a new counter emerge soon @ BoA. I've been toying with a few ideas in that arena.

This Week in C2C History
7.7.2005 : Sean David Morton showed up for one of his tri-annual appearances and had predictions to make. But what everyone wanted to hear about was how they awarded the 2012 Olympics to London, not NYC, as Morton had predicted ad nauseum in the past. Here's my coverage of Noory's handling of this sticky situation, "Kudos to Noory for calling him out on the 2012 Olympics missed prediction, followed by a hearty Jeers to Noory for finding a way to help him spin it as a "hit". No bleeping way, Noory. What SDM predicted and what happened were two totally different things. First of all, he said NYC would get the 2012 Olympics. They did not, London did. He said that the 2012 Olympics would be moved from NYC to LA because of terrorism. Terrorism occurred the day after the Olympics were announced for London, a full 7 years before the Olympics in question. London isn't going to move the Olympics because terrorism happened the day after the announcement was made. The location is wrong and the time frame is wrong. Seriously, Noory, don't encourage this guy. " (tbr, 7.8.5)
7.6.1999 : File under : Wha ?! A truly monumental episode that I didn't know existed until doing research for this week's binnall report. If anyone can explain what this is all about, I'd love to hear it : "Jeff Rense joins Art in the first hour to discuss the DJO, RAMS mess and Jeff's involvement and take on the situation. Jeff talks about the private investigator that dug up info in Monterey, his having RAMS on his program and the settlement attempts with DJO. "
7.7.1998 : Classic Art Bell : "Art starts out tonight talking more about France, and the food that they serve there. He also talks about the non-smoking policy in flights coming into the U.S., and sports in France. Arts opinion is that if France wins the world cup, then the country is going to come apart." (artbell.com cd rom)
