The monumental Summer of '06 unofficially kicks off this Memorial Day Weekend. I'm looking out over the horizon of a long weekend and it looks good. Hope y'all can dig in and enjoy it as much as I will.
This past week on C2C, Ross Mitchell smashed the glass ceiling and guest hosted C2C Live, Paul Kimball and Col. John Alexander besmirched Col. Corso on two different nights, amongst other hijinks. Next week on Coast, Steven Greer returns, C2C rolls out another Roundtable, and other fun stuff. Lesley's Ghost Photo Contest nears its conclusion and BoA : Audio returns and previews tomorrow's guest Ryan Wood. I dip into the mailbag to talk about Jordan Maxwell and BoA's intern problems. Art Bell tells us about his UFO sighting and Peter Davenport talks crop circles as we look back at C2C's history and Noory and company invade X-Men III only in Hot Newz.
On a sad note, we dedicate this week's binnall report to the one and only and now dearly departed Sherman Skolnick. Very few esoteric radio guests ever entertained me as much as Skolnick did. He also did some outstanding research into the globalist agenda and was a pioneer in judicial reform, all while being confined to a wheelchair for his entire adult life. He will be hugely missed by many in the esoteric community, including this author who is not afraid to admit he shed a tear upon hearing the news of Skolnick's passing. Thanks for the memories, Sherman. I'm sure you're in a much better place now and will enjoy watching how things play out while in the confines of a safe haven. God speed, sir.
But we must press onward, for that is our mission, to bring you the goods as only we can, in preparation for the future as always ....
The Week That Was
When I left you last week, The Noor was about to embark on his usual Friday into Saturday Open Lines routine. But first, he had to have a pop-in, and that came in the form of RFID-hater Katherine Albrecht and her co-hort Liz McIntyre. They were on to update us all on how we are being tagged electronically like baby seals or something. Open Lines followed for the duration of the show.
It was another wild weekend of guest hosts and misplaced Punnett, with Ross Mitchell stepping in to guest host C2C Live and Ian guest hosting C2C proper. Mitchell, as many of you may know, is the C2C announcer. He did a pretty damn good job as host and while it was disconcerting at times to hear the announcer turn into the host, it was also surreal on a cool level.
Ross has a bad ass voice so it was a fun ride for the hour or so that I caught him. BoA's Khyron caught much more of the show than I did and proclaimed in this week's K-Files. "His voice was just so confident and ear-friendly, I’m dumbfounded they didn’t ask him to guest host before. There are people that are simply gifted with the power of voice, and Ross Mitchell is without question one of them." You can't beat that, I don't think.
For the record, Mitchell's guest was Brooks Agnew, talking about Nephilim and the origins of planets. Apparently there was some hollow earth stuff in there as well, so I'm going to have to go back and further investigate when time allows. Nonetheless, it seems like Ross Mitchell won over a lot of C2C fans as guest host.
Saturday night, Ian kicked off C2C proper by lamenting Ross guest hosting "Ian", because he was too good or something. That was pretty hilarious. He also read a letter from BoA's Lesley and mention binnallofamerica.com ... again. God bless you, Ian. He also sent a cryptic message to binnall, saying "It's all good." I'll let you ponder the meaning of that one.
His guest was Charles Ostman or "nanoman" as Ian wants to call him. I didn't catch that portion of the show, having only heard the first hour of Saturday night's episode. No word yet from anyone as to the quality of Ostman's stuff, sorry.
Sunday night saw George Knapp return as guest host, after good to great reviews for his last stint with Bob Lazar. This time around the horn, he was again re-united with a friend as Colm Kelleher was the 1st hour pop-in and the full on guest was Col. John Alexander, who may know Knapp from way back. I missed Kelleher, but caught almost all of Alexander, so let's discuss that.
For starters, I was a tad chagrined that Knapp kept crapping on and mocking "the Internet" and rumours about Col. Alexander and UFOs. The internet is a mix of good and bad stuff and I think Knapp's characterization of the place as full of wackos was kind of lame. It speaks to his role in mainstream media that he'd be interested in downplaying the level of authenticity to what people can find online.
That personal affront aside, Knapp did an excellent job with the interview, bringing out a lot of good information on the infamous Aviary, a controversial subject within Ufology that is almost never discussed on C2C. I give Knapp huge props for that as it was fascinating. Alexander's stonewall approach to a UFO conspiracy could be taken two ways, either satisfying because you believe him or annoying because you don't. Either way the information he provided was interesting. Bear in mind that he went on C2C last September and ripped on Jon Ronson and then Noory read a retraction or something from Alexander about a week later after Ronson disproved the claim that he'd never even met John Alexander. Take that for what you will.
Irregardless of the anti-UFO conspiracy stance and the anti-Internet stance, it was a great episode. Knapp brought the goods as host and Alexander left a lot of food for thought, something that many regular C2C guests and first timers fail to do.
Monday, The Noor returned to action with Mary Ann, who apparently inspired the series "Ghost Whisperer". The episode was a mix of those infamous straight forward questions that the guests can answer but you can't really prove. "Do ghosts ride airplanes ?" Noory surprisingly and amusingly asked. Apparently they do, according to Mary Ann. Good luck proving that, though I wouldn't mind hearing an EVP from a plane.
The other portion of the show was Mary Ann talking about all the hobnobbing she does with Jennifer Love Hewitt, the star of "Ghost Whisperer". Apparently, Mary Ann investigated if Hewitt had any ghosts and she does and one peers in on her while she's in the hot tub. Now I'm jealous of a ghost. Fun episode, but light as a feather, kinda like a ghost (or so I hear).
Tuesday, Noory welcomed Paul Kimball, who was on to talk about UFOs cases and various people in Ufology. Kimball wasn't afraid of crapping on anyone and that delighted those of us who enjoy the uncomfortable thrill of hearing people being ripped on. It was Ufology meets MTV's "Yo Momma" and I couldn't have been happier. Kimball put the boots to Col. Corso, SERPO, and Steven Greer, along with the disclosure movement and a handful of other topics and personalities. Good stuff if you are familiar with what and who he was talking about and he was spot on in a lot of the instances where he offered criticism. Noteworthy, also, was the revelation, to me, that Kimball and Stanton Friedman are related. In the words of OMC, "How Bizarre."
The cases discussed were pretty fascinating and there seemed to be a lot of teasing for upcoming film projects from Kimball, which sounded good, albeit a little overdone on the hype. I give the episode a strong recommendation, especially if you like hearing the other side of the coin on some of C2C's sacred cows like SERPO. If Kimball is reading this, know that I shake my fist in rage that I was passed over when Noory asked who the "next generation of Ufology is." Know that the 27 year old binnall will not be denied.
It was bumper music's worst enemy incarnate with Michael Tsarion on Wednesday, talking about Irish origins of humanity, symbolic brainwashing, and 2012. Wild stuff from Tsarion, as usual, and he continued his endearing trait of talking straight on into the bumper music as if it weren't even playing. I think Noory had three heart attacks while trying to get a word in edgewise as the show teetered closer and closer to the commercial break. Noory had to outright stop Tsarion at the end of the show as he was about to embark on yet another tangent halfway through Cusco's "Inca Dance", leaving Noory with practically a nanosecond to do his nightly thanks. I just about hit the floor with laughter.
Tsarion's material was decent, albeit derivative of Jordan Maxwell and others who have similar stuff to say about illumanti plots. I take his "Irish origins of humanity" with a grain of salt, considering well ... he's Irish ! Everyone thinks they're home country is the cradle of civilization, except Americans, of course, who just think they're the owners of civilization.
Good, fun conspiracy oriented stuff, especially Tsarion's stuff about symbolism in the media, which prompted a hilarious outburst from Noory, who objected to Tsarion's characterization of light beer. High recommendation for the brainwashing aspects of the show, for Tsarion's odd habits of overtalking, and for the Irish in the reading audience. If you get infuriated by conspiracy, then this one wasn't for you.
Thursday, Bob Larson returned to C2C after a 5 year absence to talk about exorcisms. Apparently, Larson has some traveling show that draws people who are possessed and Larson rips the demons from them. At times, this episode was way too religious and had me wanting to curb stomp Larson for his preachiness. Other times, he was riveting as all get out. Notable was the tapes of exorcims, which were like EVPs on steroids. They were positively chilling, veracity notwithstanding. Noory was also excellent in this episode, asking some really good questions. Enthralling episode, but not without its foibles.
So there you have it. A pretty good to great week on Coast. Combined with next week's offerings it looks like we are in the midst of some stellar programming.
The Week That Is
We kick off the Week That Is with the usual madness that is known as Friday into Saturday Open Lines. Surely, The Noor will have a pop-in, but it hasn't been announced as of this writing. That said, it has been a while since we've heard from Hoagland, so I wouldn't be surprised to hear him show up.
Saturday on "Ian", Khyron's favorite guest host, Ross Mitchell, returns to guest host the C2C Live show. The guest will be Dr. Gary Ridenour, talking about medical mysteries. If the mysteries are truly mystifying, it should be good stuff.
Saturday night on C2C proper, Ian Punnett steps back in as guest host in an ultra rare Ian-hosted UFO episode. Color me psyched. I've been wondering why Ian doesn't do much UFO stuff, so now I can see how he shapes up in this often covered esoteric genre. His guest will be Bill McDonald. Bill will be talking about Leonard Stringfield and other deceased Ufologists. Should be awesome. I'm a big fan of Ufology history, so this should be right up my alley. Go get 'em, Ian.
Sunday night, in lieu of Art Bell, we get a rebroadcast of the 12.13.2003 episode, hosted by Bell of course, featuring Nick Begich, talking about HAARP. I'm not a huge HAARP fan, but I'm sure this is pretty good stuff. Whitley Streiber is the 1st hour pop-in, talking about "dark encounters". Sounds spooky.
Monday, C2C and The Noor go back to the Roundtable well once again, with no complaints from yours truly. The first roundtable since March will be focused on The Da Vinci Code. Yes, it's the Da Vinci Code Roundtable, featuring Laurence Gardner, William Henry, and Glenn Kimball. Eagle eared C2C listeners will recall that both Kimball and Henry were panelists on the Knights Templar Roundtable from 11.23.2004. Should be a good episode and probably Coastie worthy.
Kudos to C2C for reviving the roundtable format, which they almost burned out last year and for providing some good stuff for those of us who will be partaking in and enjoying the long weekend.
Tuesday, Wayne Herschel is the guest and he'll be on to talk about those pesky ancient astronauts and will purportedly have "evidence that humans are ETs who invaded Earth 10,000 years ago." As long as that evidence isn't endless quoting of Sitchen's books, I'm all for it. Could be good, could be awful, we'll find out on Tuesday.
Wednesday, C2C welcomes Dale Brown, author and former Air Force man, to talk about the War on Terror and how it ties into the US / Mexico border. Sounds like the perfect guest for The Noor. Expect high levels of righteous indignation and even higher levels of doomsday forecasting. Should be decent to good, possibly great.
Thursday, Steven Greer returns to C2C for the first time in over a year. Apparently, Greer has penned his own memoir, "Hidden Truth - Forbidden Knowledge" and will be discussing it with The Noor. One wonders if Greer will address the criticisms of Paul Kimball from this past week. I have a sinking suspicion the topic won't come up. From the description on the C2C website, it sounds like Greer will be laying the smackdown on SETI, which is always fun and worth a listen. Greer is usually full of pee and vinegar when he appears on the show, so I expect this episode to be excellent.
On paper, this looks to be one of the best weeks on C2C in quite some time. Greer, Herschel, and McDonald should all be killer. Ridenour ought to be decent and Ross Mitchell is the host, so that will bring the quality up. Dale Brown is a darkhorse and could be quite good and the Roundtable on Monday ought to be stellar. So, all in all, there's a lot to look forward to.

Letter #1 :
Do you expect Jordan Maxwell to ever return to Coast ?
Craig in Rochester, NY
He's due. I expect he'll be a regular guest by the end of Summer and not slip into the TBA slot as I keep predicting.
Letter #2 :
Hey whoever.
Just wanted to let you know that I am a subscriber through iTunes and
that both segments of part 2 of your excellent interview with Richard
Dolan were truncated. I was able to download complete MP3s from your
website (49 and 48 mins. I think), but the iTunes downloads were like 13
mins. and 37 mins. For people who don't know to go to your website and
get the complete file, they will be missing some great stuff!
Peace.
jeudi
You gotta love any letter addressed to "whoever" as if I have a room full of underlings handling my correspondence. Long time readers know that the state of Massachusetts bars BoA from having any unpaid interns after a mysterious fire killed three last July. And then there was the one that went missing. Let's not forget that funny looking kid that Khyron hazed so bad he ended up in a mental ward. So, in essence, it's pretty much me who gets the mail nowadays.
Onto the technical aspects of the letter, in short, I'll look into it. I'm chagrined to hear you are having problems, but at a loss to explain them. I'm usually up to speed on how well the show is coming through to the listeners, but will confess to being ignorant to how the podcasting works, as I'm more of a straight downloader. If anyone knows of this problem or how to correct it, drop me a line. Until then, the safest bet is to grab the MP3s right from BoA proper, where you'll be sure to get the full monty.

This Week in C2C History
5.26.2005 : Almost two years prior to his appearance this week, Irish esoteric researcher Michael Tsarion made his C2C debut to share his thoughts on the origins of man, based on his research. "He concluded that the Nephilim came to Earth thousands of years ago, setting themselves up on the continent of Atlantis, after they were ousted from their own star system." (c2c.com)
5.26.1998 : An ultra rare C2C appearance by Peter Davenport to discuss crop circles, as opposed to his usual beat, UFOs. "Peter Davenport joins Art on the phone to discuss this. Peter describes the crop circle as being over 1/4 mile in length. Art also talks with the discoverer of the crop circle. They describe the crop circle as being very intricate." (artbell.com cd rom)
5.26.1997 : A classic Art Bell episode as he took to the air waves, along with Ramona, to tell us all about his 2nd UFO sighting, "Art has experienced his second sighting of a UFO. He brings his wife on the air to help describe the occurrence. They were both walking up the driveway to the house around 11:40 a.m. and noticed a double contrail being made by a jet. They then noticed there was a cylindrical object following the contrail. It was glowing bright silver. It was extremely high up and then suddenly stopped dead cold for a moment and then took off SSE til it was out of sight."
End Notes
And we finish up just in time to enjoy 3 days of pure, unadulterated relaxation. Who am I kidding ? I'll be up to my armpits in work as usual, but it will be esoteric work and that's really the best kind.
Plugs : Tomorrow @ binnallofamerica.com, BoA : Audio returns with Ryan Wood, author of Majic Eyes Only. UFO crashes, SETI, key cases in Ufology, and other enlightening stuff. Sunday, Lesley's C2C Rewind @ the Debris Field and smoker dave gets updated. Monday, Viral Esoterica for May 2006. Tuesday, Grey Matters. Wednesday, The K-Files. Thursday, Hot Newz. And, of course, we do it all again here in the binnall report next Friday.
binnallofamerica.com ... winning the hearts and minds of esoterica.
Until you hear from me again with more tomfoolery, this is binnall wishing you a fun filled long weekend and signing off.
