The rain has finally stopped here at BoA : HQ and I am a happy man. Looking out over a lovely May day here and a restful and fun weekend, one hopes. I'm sure you are as well, so I won't bore you with the gaudy details.

This week, we look back at the past week on C2C that included "8 Hours of Ian", Jim Marrs, and a highly entertaining wild man named Aaron Russo. We look ahead, where we'll be hearing from Michael Tsarion and Mary Ann the Ghostbuster. Sounds tasty. We hear from another Streamlink member in the mailbag and get a Noory critique from a thoughtful reader. Hans King and Hoagland punctuate our look back at the past of C2C. Lesley still has her ghost contest and I still have BoA : Audio, but I'm taking a week off, yet we still have updates for both. And, of course, we have a look at what could be a blockbuster of epic esoteric proportions ... The Da Noory Code only in Hot Newz.

Sound good ? Good. Let's get this party started then.

The Week That Was

We left off last week with The Noor's Open Line addiction again raging wildly out of control. No pop-in, just pure 4 hours of Friday into Saturday Open Lines. I'm sure there were some folks out there that dug it, big time, so I can't complain too much. Not my cup of tea, though.

"Ian" last week was a re-run of the historic first ever "Ian" that aired back in January, 1.28.2006 to be precise. R. Gary Patterson was the guest. Rock and Roll was the topic. Ian was pithier than ever. binnall designed an "Ian" spin-off poster that was no-sold by Ian. A good time was had by almost all.

Saturday's C2C proper continued the theme of "8 Hours of Ian" with Ian hosting the main show for the first time since back in January. He had Daniel Pinchbeck on as the guest, talking about C2C's drug of choice, ayuahsca and alternative realities and dimensions and what have you. Pinchbeck was pretty good, but the topic was terribly nebulous. It was like trying to explain colors to a blind man. This was one episode that should come with a tab of acid for each listener.

Ian was good as the host, he brought an everyman quality to it that helped. I was disappointed that Ian said he never got "high". C'mon, Ian ! That's as believable as "I tried it but it didn't do anything for me." Every good theologian has to trip his balls off on peyote once in his life, where've you been ?

Sunday saw C2C cover part 1 of the two things we can be sure of in life : death (taxes came on Monday) with a rebroadcast of the 12.27.2002 Art Bell hosted Coast with guest George Lutz of Amityville Horror fame. After all these years, Lutz finally got the answer to his burning questions about ghosts a few weeks ago ... when he died. Wrap your mind around that, hombre. I skipped out on this episode, but stashed it in my archive for later listening.

Monday, C2C covered the 2nd half of life's sure things with taxes, ostensibly, as Aaron Russo was the guest, talking about the IRS and the general state of awful affairs in America today. He didn't linger on taxes alone, so that eliminated the trepidation that some had with this episode. It also helped that Russo brought charisma in buckets and, in total, this episode flat out ruled. Russo could rant with the best of them and Noory egged him on like it was the opening minutes of a bar fight. I agreed with most everything Russo had to say but couldn't help but be amused by his passion. No doubt about it, as Noory said time and again, this guy was "mad as hell" and I, for one, was loving every minute of it.

Worth noting is an odd little segway for about a half hour around the middle of the interview where Russo got into how he ended up where he is today. His life story included stints as a business manager (or something) for Bette Midler, a movie producer, and the libertarian candidate for president. Wow. Russo earned his stripes and was reminiscent of my friend Andre Eggelletion. High quality episode.

Coast followed it up with another outstanding edition with the man, the myth, the marrs, Jim Marrs. I worried that I am such a Jim Marrs aficianado that I'd be disappointed with this ultra rare 3 hour spot on the show on Tuesday. Thankfully, that was not to be. Marrs was on fire and the episode lived up to my lofty expectations.

For the first hour, Jim talked in-depth about 911, as I'd been hoping he'd do on Coast for quite some time. He brought some new facts to light that even I'd not heard of yet. Yes, kids, Marrs is still the master.

Later came what may have been my personal favorite segment on C2C so far this year : Marrs discussing the demise of X-Ops, the TV show. You may recall a few guests showing up on C2C a few weeks and months back hyping the hell out of this show that was to premiere, at some point, on Discovery Channel (or one of those 2nd tier cable networks). Anyway, apparently the cable execs put the kaybosh on X-Ops and Jim had the scoop on it for us.

What followed was an in-depth expose on how a TV show on esoterica goes from being "in the works" to "dead as disco". It was riveting, to say the least. Marrs followed it up having the cahones to actually give out the phone number for the cable station and have folks call to complain ! I thought Noory was going to flip his wig, but he seemed cool about it. For the record, I flipped my wig.

Needless to say, top notch episode, easy Coastie contender, and worth every minute of your time.

It was time for Noory's usual free medical advice, as he welcomed Dr. John Abramson on Wednesday to talk about the general state of medical affairs. I was in and out on this one as I am not too good with the alternative science. I did note that Abramson fell into line with the previous two night's guests in being all about how awful "the system" is for us. Also, Noory enlightened us to his ongoing trials and tribulations as a 60 year old man getting a check up, which ranged from amusing to frightening.

Worth noting, for me at least, is that Abramson apparently "has served as chairman of the department of family practice at Lahey Clinic." The Lahey Clinic ? Yes, kids, the Lahey Clinic that is a mere stone's throw from BoA HQ. I literally drove by it yesterday. That kind of weirded me out when I heard that. I never met Abramson when he was working in my hometown, but there's always a chance I gave him the finger in traffic or held the door open for him at the nearby Starbucks or something.

Thursday saw Tom Horn as the guest, talking about ETs, stargates and other far our fun stuff. I was about to berate Noory for intimating that Horn was making his C2C debut (to which Horn embarrassingly corrected him), but I apparently made the same gaffe last week in this very column, so Noory and I are both clown shoes on this one. Be that as it may, Horn was surprisingly grounded for dealing with such a bizarre set of esoteric minutia. He covered the stuff well, but his scattershot approach left every facet of the esoteric touched and ended up being to patchwork for my tastes. His grounded nature only compounded the problem, for if he had been zany or nutty, I'd be more forgiving.

Kudos go out to Noory for hearing Horn slightly mention something about Steven Spielberg having an ET implant collection (what a weirdo) and then jumping all over it for information on that. Good job, Noory, that little tid bit perked my ears as well and I'm glad he dug into it, despite not getting too much out of it from Horn.

I drifted out towards the end of this episode, but it seemed to have some momentum on its side to finish up strong. I've heard that it sort of limped to the finish line, but I can't attest to that. I'll be checking it out later tonight to determine it's Coastiness, so you'll find out if it made the overal cut or not, but I wouldn't bet on it.

Good week with some big highlights in Russo and Marrs and some strong undercurrents like Pinchbeck and Abramson and no serious dogs.

The Week That Is

We kick off the impending week with your usual Friday into Saturday Open Lines. No word on who the pop-in will be yet, although I believe Noory said he'd be broadcasting from Washington D.C or something.

Saturday, C2C does its part to shred the space-time continuum, as Ian Punnett will be guest hosting C2C proper and C2C's announcer Ross Mitchell will be guest hosting Ian's spin-off "C2C Live". Confused yet ?

Mitchell's guest for the early show will be Brooks Agnew, who will be on to discuss nephilim and the origins of planets. Sounds intriguing. This is Mitchell's first stint guest hosting, this year at least, making him something like the sixth person to guest host in 2006. Agnew sounds familiar, but I'm not sure if I'd heard him before or not. I'm getting rather burned out on nephilim type subject matter as it always seems to devolve into Sitchen quoting, but this one could turn out good if Agnew gives it a unique spin.

Ian's guest on C2C proper will be Charles Ostman, talking about "engineered evolution". Ostman is a big time nanotechnology buff, so I expect that will play a part in his presentation. Could be interesting or it could be as dull as licking paper. We'll know by Sunday morning how that one shook out.

Sunday sees George Knapp return as guest host after a strong showing last April with Bob Lazar. This time, Knapps guest will be Col. John Alexander to give us the lowdown on future weaponry as he is wont to do. Knapp is a strong investigative journalist, so I expect he'll get some good stuff out of Alexander, who usually brings the goods.

Monday, The Noor returns with Mary Ann, The Ghostbuster, to talk about, what else, ghosts. She'll also be talking about how she is the inspiration for the TV series The Ghost Whisperer. Something tells me she doesn't look like Jennifer Love Hewitt, but perhaps I'm splitting hairs here. She has a good repoire with Noory and that usually means a quality episode.

Tuesday sees Paul Kimball return to C2C to discuss UFOs. Kimball is both infamous and notorious in Ufology for being pretty staunch in his beliefs and for calling out folks he doesn't think are on the up and up. I haven't heard too much of Kimball's stuff before, so I am pretty intrigued by what he may bring to the table. I'm also intrigued by whether or not he'll be taking shots at anyone in Ufology, which would amuse me greatly.

Wednesday has Michael Tsarion coming back to C2C after being bumped a few weeks back. Tsarion is usually a classic, resembling a mutant love child of Alex Jones and David Icke and he can rant with the best of them. Given the rapidly decaying state of affairs here in the US, I'm sure Tsarion will be all up in our area about it and I, for one, can't wait to hear that. He'll also apparently touch on 2012, so he's weaving that into his work now as well.

Thursday is the dreaded TBA. Who will it be ? I'm 0 for 3 on predictions for TBA, but I will continue my streak of saying, Jordan Maxwell or Steve Quayle. As I noted last week, one of these days I will get it right and this place will go nuts.

There you have it. A pretty tepid week, on paper, but there could be a few surprises mixed in there that will bring it up to a decent week. It could also turn out fugly as all get out, so be forewarned.

BoA : Audio, Season One

This Week : Week Off. I've reached a minor clip in my taping process and will also be meeting with some of my high powered LA television friends here in Boston for the weekend, so it's best to take a week off to attend to longer term plans. Chew on that for a while.

Next Week : TBA

I'll be taping 3 interviews this coming week. The name of the 5.27 guest will be announced at some point at BoA on Monday. I should have a fleshed out schedule for the final weeks of BoA : Audio, Season One soon. I expect we'll be having approx. 4 more guests and that will wrap it all up nicely.

binnall report mailbag

Letter #1 :

Just found your site and love your audio interviews! Also love your poking fun of George Noory who I find not exactly "fair and balanced" in his choice of guests/subject matter.

Thanks,

Karen

Karen obviously is a frequent BoA visitor and she's figured out the secret to getting into the mailbag : a letter of praise, of course. Seriously, though, much thanks for the kudos, Karen. I strive to put out a top notch show because I wouldn't have it any other way and because I know what I want as an esoteric radio fan.

Onto the subject of The Noor, it is amusing, somewhat, that I get Noory critiques. While I have a fair share of "pet peeves" re: Noory, I think he is doing a solid job. Sure I would do some things differently, but I don't have to do it 5 days a week plus deal with Premiere and various other "powers that be" and the related stress of hosting a highly rated national radio show.

To paraphrase the immortal words of Jeff Rense, though he wasn't speaking about me personally, I am a mere lunatic with a keyboard and a modem and, perhaps, that's what makes me so damn special. I'm sure if I had Noory's job, lots of folks would be unhappy about my stuff.

Letter #2 :

Tim really does a great job with this report. A lot of times it helps me figure out which programs to go back and listen to. While I'm at it, I've got to give him props for the interviews he has available for download at his website. Like Aspie, I'm not a fan of open lines I don't wish to bring open lines to an end because I know there are plenty out there who enjoy it... I just find that they don't hold my attention. When Friday rolled around, I grabbed Binall's interview with Peter Robbins, author of Left at East Gate from October of last year.

Peter is one of the most solid UFO researchers and writers I've read and heard. This is one of my favorite interviews also. Tim feeds him intelligent, informed questions that lead to a much more in-depth look at the Bentwaters/Rendlesham UFO incident than I ever thought we'd get. Once you hear what Peter has been able to uncover on this, it's hard to deny that something beyond terrestrial explanation was involved with the incident.

I can't wait to read Peter's book about former Secretary of Defense, James Forrestal's murder (I believe he was murdered also). I think this case is a powderkeg waiting to be exploded. Once it's properly presented to the public, it's going to lead to an ongoing inquiry that will go a long way towards exposing the UFO/ET coverup.

So Tim, thanks again for the work you do... it's very much appreciated!

Streamlink member Onlooker Delay

Like last week, we dip into the Streamlink message board for a letter from an old friend of mine who goes by the moniker of Onlooker Delay over at the forum. OD is an astute student of esoterica and has always been a great supporter of my stuff. Thanks for the kind words, OD ! Glad to see you are digging BoA.

Peter Robbins is an outstanding investigator and a good friend. He is also one of the most well spoken of folks I've ever met or heard of in esoterica. Everyone who knows him loves this guy. His BoA : Audio appearance remains one of our most popular episodes and I still get e-mails about it from folks who really dug it. Hopefully Peter and I can work together again in the future.

Of note in this letter is that the binnall report has seen a resurgence, of sorts, over at it's original birthplace, said Streamlink forums. Every edition of tbr has been posted there from the beginning, before theusofe was even created and before BoA became the juggernaut of hellacious esoteric foolishness that it is today. I'll always hold the Streamlink board in high regard for kicking off the madness and being chock full of binnall supporters. Hats of to you guys over @ Streamlink ! Hopefully I've made those of you who were there at the beginning proud.

This Week in C2C History

5.19.2005 : The future had arrived and The Noor and C2C were there to help unveil it, with some dude named Woody Norris. "First hour guest, inventor Woody Norris talked about his Air Scooter, which he said currently sells for $47,000 and doesn't require expensive training such as one would need to fly a helicopter." (c2c.com)

5.19.2003 : Breath a sigh of relief, as today marks the end of a gruesome prediction from "direct voice medium" Hans King who predicted doom and gloom for us all, "King consulted his guides for a Q & A session about our future. Among their revelations: There will be a nuclear incident in the U.S. within the next three years and 75,000 to 125,000 people will die." (c2c.com)

5.19.1999 : Classic Hoagland as he appeared on the show to, first, update us on his condition, post-heart attack and then to cover a grab bag of topics, showing us he'd fully recovered, "Richard Hoagland joins Art in the first hour. Richard discusses his recovery and the treatments he is under going. Art asks Richard his thoughts on life after death. After the bottom of the hour break, Richard discusses the Miami Circle, there is a possibility it will become part of the National Parks system and also the Hubble telescope." (artbell.com cd rom)

End Notes

Another one bites the dust. And another gone, and another gone, another one bites the dust ! Yes, we have wrapped up another edition of "the binnall report". If I had an intern, I'd have him figure out how many editions we've done, but I don't, so I'll end up figuring it out myself one of these days.

Plugs : Tomorrow @ binnallofamerica.com, no BoA : Audio, in it's place is an update to Hoags to Hoags AM and some other stuff. Sunday, Lesley's C2C Rewind @ the Debris Field and smoker dave updated. Monday, possibly Viral Esoterica, I'm not sure yet. Tuesday, Grey Matters. Wednesday, The K-Files. Thursday, C2C invades the Marvel universe as Noory and company become X-Men in Hot Newz. Friday, we do it all again here in the binnall report.

binnallofamerica.com ... esoterica's online wild west.

And with that, I bid you farewell for another week. Goodnight, Good Luck, and Amen. Until you hear from me next week, this is binnall signing off.
