2.17.6

Thanks to all of you who wished me well last week. For the record, I am doing much better this week, aside from a mild head cold. I'm sure keeping up the pace I do with a lousy diet of coffee and cigarettes can't help. Anyway, I'm doing well this week. Hopefully you are in fine health as well.

This week, we look back on an excellent week that was on C2C, ahead to a promising week for Coast, a dip into the time well with This Week in C2C History, two interesting letters in the mailbag, and we find out where Richard C. Hoagland has been in Hot Newz. Plus, we preview tomorrow's edition of BoA : Audio featuring Steve Bassett and give info on next week's A-list esoteric name who will be on the show. You will be stunned.

Looking out over the horizon of a nice long weekend, let's kick it off with the binnall report ...

The Week That Was

We left off last week when I was feeling quite ill and actually manage to miss Linda Moulton Howe's 2 hour shot last Friday night. Again, I hear great things about what Ms.Howe presented. I'll be checking it out later on this weekend, I hope.

Despite loving the Ian show's debut episode, I'm still struggling to catch the subsequent episodes. The earlier time slot and lack of MP3s has left me hurting. He had Annie Duke, professional poker player, on to talk about poker, I presume.

The Bell Zone was another surreal affair, with Dianne Arcangel to talk about after life communications. I'd been wondering how Art would handle discussions on death since he returned and it turned out to be an amazingly compelling episode. The general update on how he is doing and the story of the medium in Georgia were fascinating. Dianne seemed to be a non-factor, of sorts, but did contribute a lot of good stuff. Her affiliation with Bob Bigelow is intriguing to say the least.

If you want someone to scare the pants of off you, Howard Bloom is usually a safe bet. On Sunday, he guested with Art, a rare occurrence in and of itself, and brought the fear to the show with regards to the War on Terror. I didn't hear him say much about the topic of Green Fuel, but it may have come up at the end. What I did hear of him, he was pretty much saying a nuke would go off in 2 months or so and that the Muslim world has millions ready to fight us. Oh, and this war has been going on for 1500 years or so. Great stuff from Bloom.

Full disclosure, I missed The Noor's Monday show with David Darling because I was riding out the end game of my weekend sickness. And, wouldn't you know it, Stanton Friedman was the first hour pop in. I know what I am checking out in favor of straight Open Lines later tonight. No word on what Frieds was talking about, but you know it was good.

Tuesday's episode was fantastic. Steven Hairfield brought the goods big time, talking about 2012. I can't quite put my finger on it, but Hairfield had a terrifying scenario and a zen peacefulness that made it a wild ride. His pontifications on the world were weighty with wisdom. Best episode of the week, by far. For what it's worth, Hairfield says that 2012 may actually be 2006, so start building your bunkers ... now.

It was a double shot of underground goodness on Wednesday with Dr. Richard Sauder and Bill Hamilton talking about underground bases and dwellings. . Pretty good stuff, if not altogether new. Hamilton had some nice historical type stuff, Sauder brought the apocalyptic vision and outrage. Quality episode.

John Lash was the Thursday guest, talking about Annunaki and what-have-you. Another strong episode. Lash broke down his stuff in a digestible way that made it fun to listen to. It was a good "overview" that seemed to fit Noory's strengths. I did like how The Noor went off on those dastardly extremists in the movie Contact. That had me in stitches. It's a movie, Noory, relax.

No Hoagland again. I'm getting worried. Ready the milk cartons. Perhaps he is in Torino.

The Week That Is

We kick it off tonight with hodge podge of esoterica as The Noor first interviews Randy Cerveny to talk about extreme weather. Sounds Noorific. Then, he breaks out a massive coup as he interviews John Titor's family's lawyer, Larry Haber. C2C has been hyping this all week, so it should be good stuff. Standard Open Lines will follow.

Saturday, we'll be hearing from Lynn Picknett and Clive Prince on Ian, to talk about some book called The Sion Revelation. Could be interesting.

The Bell Zone is all about spirit attacks and OBEs with Albert Taylor. A classic C2C topic with the master Art Bell. Sounds awesome. That's on Saturday.

Sunday, we'll be hearing from C2C stalwart James Gilliland, who has been surprisingly missing the last couple of years. Should be good to get an update about his odd little ranch that has UFO and orb sightings non-stop. Noory was supposed to visit, but that never happened. Noory, you wimp.

Monday, The Noor rocks out with Nicholas Reiter to pontificate about ghosts and where they come from. He'll also have some stories to share. Depending on his charisma, it could be good.

Tuesday, Jeffrey A. Wands will teach us how to be psychic and how to avoid those dastardly carnies and phony types. Uh oh, I hope he doesn't somehow disqualify himself, thus tearing a hole in the space time continuum. Hopefully, we'll have another Sylvia Browne bashing.

Joshua P. Warren is all about physical evidence to esoteric events. Will he have any ? Find out on Wednesday when he guests on the show.

Finally, C2C brings back one of my favorite guests James Fetzer, talking about 911. Fetzer is a big time assassination and conspiracy researcher who has done some solid work. I expect a fascinating episode.

binnall of america : audio, Season One

This Week : Steve Bassett (Part 2 of 2). The concluding half of our in-depth discussion with Steve Bassett, UFO disclosure activist. We discuss the ABC UFO Special from last year, 2006 in Exopolitics, including why '06 may be the year for disclosure. We take a worldwide tour to determine which countries are potential hot spots of UFO disclosure. Then he hit on all the roadblocks to disclosure, just about every argument against disclosure is thrown Bassett's way and he responds to each. Just an fascinating conversation.

Next Week : The Father of Modern Day Cryptozoology, Loren Coleman comes to BoA : Audio in a "can't miss" edition of the critically acclaimed audio series. For those of you out of the loop, binnall is a life long Bigfoot enthusiast and this interview covers the beast from a plethora of different angles. Also discussed are the Chupacabra, Loch Ness Monster, Giant Squids, and the giant bears of Siberia.

But wait ... there's more ... binnall also goes in-depth with Loren Coleman on his amazing book "The Copy Cat Effect", discussing how the media influences popular culture. The Sorrows of Young Werther, Suicide clusters, the nomenclature of suicide, school shootings, shark attacks, mysterious kidnappings, and other media fads. We talk about how Loren deals with being both a cryptozoologist and a nationally recognized anthropologist and media pundit. And, Loren makes a bold prediction that may have actually come true moments after the interview (more on that next week). It's "Another Side of Loren Coleman" and an amazing conversation.

His websites are lorencoleman.com and cryptomundo.com.

Dude, you gotta goto the Laughlin conference next week!

In the 2/11 'Dreamland', Paola Harris says she's attending the Laughlin conference, Whitley Strieber says that he's attending, and Whitley speculates that the ETs known as the 'Tall Whites' may make an appearance at the conference in order to make an announcement of importance to all mankind!

Or, you could go just because 'Laughlin' is one letter away from 'Laugh-in'

-Joseph in Las Vegas

Egads. I just can't escape the Laughlin hype. Despite how much I'd like to check it out, I just won't be able to go this year. I expect next year will be more conducive to a binnall trip to Laughlin, as I will be devoting more time then to esoterica than ever before.

For those of you unfamiliar with Laughlin, it is a week long UFO conference that hosts a who's who of Ufology. Plus it's a laid back atmosphere, from what I hear, and the long stretch of time allows for lots of esoteric discussion. Sounds like the perfect place for binnall ... next year.

Question: Is your next Article in Feb Issue of After Dark?

-- smoker dave, in Arizona

Yes, dave, yes it is. If you listen closely to the After Dark ads, you'll hear Noory pushing my "huge piece". Always good for a laugh. I'm happy to say that we have another big project in the works, but I'm mum on the details for now. I'll have something to say about this surreal situation quite soon, I assure you.

This Week in C2C History

2.17.2005 : When it comes to raining on a parade, Phil Plait is perhaps the greatest at it. About a week after Richard C. Hoagland appeared on C2C frothing at the mouth over a "Life on Mars" announcement based on a shady story, Plait showed up to crap all over that with this, "Plait read an email from one of the scientists, Carol Stoker, that said that the "private meeting" was actually a party, and she was unaware that a reporter was present and quoting her in this casual context."

2.17.2003 : Carrying on the never ending promises of cyber-sex, Bart Kosko predicted similar things as the guest from two weeks ago, Charles Schults, "In the nearer future Kosko postulated intelligent agents that can advise or console us. These computerized counselors could be uniquely personalized, combining traits from a favored religious figure, pop star and trusted relative." (C2C website)

2.17.1998 : From the news of the day, the more things change ... "The Chief of the United Nations still trying for a diplomatic end to the situation in Iraq. Clinton addressed the nation today from the Pentagon. Kuwait is about the only country supporting us right now. Art asks how do we come out of this winners. If we kill Suddam, we get his son, who is said to make Suddam look like a Disney character. " (artbel.com cd rom)
