Coming at you later than usual and on-location in San Diego, it's an abbreviated version of your weekly jaunt through the world of the esoteric, the binnall report. I'm fairly pressed for time here and writing on a laptop computer (a much different experience from our normal operation), so we're not going to go in-depth on C2C's offerings from this past week.
As noted in the introduction, I am in San Diego for the holiday season. The exciting news is that guess who will be in San Diego tomorrow ... none other than George "The Noor" Noory, signing copies of his book. I will be in attendance and will finally have a chance to meet the man, himself. What will become of the binnall / Noory summit ? Stay tuned.
This week, I look back at just the Alex Jones episode of Coast, fly through a preview of next week's C2C offerings, skip out on the mailbag (to save time), but we still have all the other usual bells and whistles.
The Week That Was
I spent most of this past week preparing for my trip, so I didn't catch much Coast, if any.
I can only really comment on the Alex Jones episode from Tuesday, which was, as expected, excellent. The Noory / AJ chemistry was spot on throughout the episode and I enjoyed how Alex talked about some different stuff from his usual material, including some nice discussion on the diamond industry.
Otherwise, I missed the bulk of the week. 1000 apologies, my friends. Given the time difference here, I expect I'll manage to catch some Coast next week and will, hopefully, have more to say.
The Week That Is
Tonight, The Noor lords over Friday into Saturday Open Lines. David Jacobs is the pop-in for two hours, which should be killer.
Tomorrow, Ian is off for the weekend and, in his place, we'll hear the 5.6.6 episode of "Ian" featuring Ann Finkbeiner talking about "The Jasons". From what I recall, this was a pretty strong episode.
Saturday night on C2C proper, Art Bell has Bernard Haisch on to talk about The God Theory. Art loves that kind of stuff, so I expect good things.
Sunday night, Art welcomes John Jay Harper to talk about Solar Cycles. Another Bell staple. Should be strong.
Monday night, fresh from meeting binnall, The Noor has Dr. Fred Bell on to talk about health devices. Ouch. Sounds like a snoozer.
TBA on Tuesday. I still have that sinking feeling that Sean David Morton will show up.
C2C stalwart Will Henry is the guest on Wednesday to discuss Starwalkers, which is like interdimensional travelers. Henry is usually halfway decent, so this ought to be a fun one.
And the formal week wraps up on Thursday with Steve Alten to cover the Mayan Calendar. Sigh. Hopefully it won't turn into another 2012 fiasco. I have high hopes, since Alten is usually pretty good.
All in all, a pretty good looking week. I'll try and catch Alten and Henry and maybe the TBA, depending on who it turns out to be.
The 2006 Coasties
A scant 2 weeks to go in voting season and the votes continue to pour in as I type this.
Not sure who to vote for ? Can't keep track of all those episodes ?
BoA put together the =http://www.binnallofamerica.com/06coastieslist.html]Coastie Contenders List[/url] to narrow down the massive field into a handful of contenders in each field (from 5 up to 10 or so contenders for some categories). For those who feel it's impossible to distill 2006 into a Coastie Vote, I suggest consulting the list. Hardcore fans seem to already have their favorites picked out.
No matter how you decide your favorites, be sure to voice your opinion of the best of the best on C2C in '06.
Consult the Ballot for Award Categories, Rules, and additional Resources.
The Coastie schedule for '06 is as follows ...
12.1.6 :: Ballot released, voting begins. Coastie season is underway.
12.29.6 :: Voting closes.
12.31.6 :: Winners announced.

This Week : Bill Ryan (Part 2 of 2) / Kerry Cassidy .
We finish up our discussion on SERPO, covering the second half of the first year of the SERPO story, including the change in distribution of the story, the slowing down of SERPO posts, and the possible end to the SERPO story. Plus, Bill gives us his final take on what may have been going on with the SERPO story.
Following that, Kerry Cassidy joins Bill to talk about their new venture, Project Camelot, featuring video interviews with esoteric whistle blowers. We talk about the goals of Project Camelot, dealing with potential hoaxers, why some whistle blowers prefer to remain anonymous, and much much more.
Their website is www.projectcamelot.org
You can hear an MP3 preview of Bill Ryan & Kerry Cassidy on BoA : Audio HERE * Just right click and then "save target as".
Next Week : The BoA : Audio holiday tradition continues, as "The Father of Modern Day Ufology" Stanton Friedman returns to the program for an in-depth discussion on his early years in Ufology and the evolution of his career as a speaker on flying saucers, the 1968 Congressional investigation into UFOs, the Condon Report, and the NICAP v. APRO feud. Stan shares some amazing stories from his first hand perspective on Ufology during that era. We also discuss the lack of young people in Ufology and what Ufology needs to do to develop the next generation. Plus, of course, tons and tons more in this richly detailed edition of BoA : Audio.

This Week in C2C History
12.14.2004 :: Time to put Hans King to the test. He appeared two years ago with his '05 forecast ... "He expressed strong concerns over the prospect of terrorism in the U.S. in the coming year or in the first part of 2006, with a dirty bomb possibly being used. ... The hurricane season will be about the same as the one in 2004. Gas prices will stay within 50¢ of where they are now. The National Hockey League will probably not have a season. This will be the Pope's last year in his position. " (c2c.com)
12.14.1999 :: Sounds like a fun episode here and something I wish Noory had done when "Worker in the Light" came out, "Whitley Strieber and Linda Moulton Howe join Art this hour to discuss the new book written by Art and Whitley called The Coming Global Super Storm. Art says the tables will be turned tonight as he is the interviewee."
12.14.1998 :: Our very first serialized storyline, "Hoagland / Dore '98", continues this week with as "Richard Hoagland joins Art at the beginning of the program with an update and overview of the Turret Peak event and the radar pictures." This turned into a full show Hoags-fest, including a special guest, "Peter Gersten, an attorney for ufologists, will be on with Art to discuss, among other things, what Richard Hoagland has been up to." Eventually, in the 3rd hour, it turns into a Hoagland, Bell, Gerstein pow wow that includes this gem, "Peter thinks Richard has a grasp of something going on and people should listen to Richard because we have nothing to lose if he is wrong and everything to gain if he is right. " Meanwhile, "Art tells Richard that Paul Dore wants to be on the program with him and Art. " (artbell.com cd rom)
In two weeks, "Hoagland / Dore '98" comes to it's stunning conclusion.
End Notes
There you have it, folks. 1000 apologies for this craptacular rendering of the binnall report, but I did the best I could, given the circumstances here. Hopefully, we'll have it together better next week.
Plugs : Tomorrow @ binnallofamerica.com, Bill Ryan & Kerry Cassidy on BoA : Audio, Season Two. Sunday, Lesley's C2C Rewind. Monday, R.Lee's Trickster's Realm. Tuesday, Grey Matters. Wednesday, a Klassic K-Files, as Khyron is also traveling next week. Thursday, Hot Newz. Friday, we do it all again here in probably another patchwork edition of the binnall report.
binnallofamerica.com ... experience the difference.
On that note, we wrap it up. I'm sure I'll pop in at some point in the next day or two with my notes on the binnall / Noory summit. Until then, have an excellent week, my friends, this is binnall ... signing off.
