It's Saturday night and I am officially exhausted. I've not much hope for an enjoyable SNP, as it appears as if Volcano expert Robert Trombley will be on to talk about the Oregon Bulge. Ugh.

Meanwhile, the BoA staffers hard at work in our underground lair have provided me with what they feel is, so far, the closest approximation to Porn Star Punnett with this week's "The Many Faces of Ian Punnett" ...

It's one AM on the East Coast, 10 PM on the West Coast, bring on the Punnett ...

Wow. It's like 1:05 here and IP has not emerged from his Punnett Lair. Ah ha, the Tuesday promo just got interrupted by the intro music. Enter the Punnett.

IP mentions his "weak beginning" e-mail from last week. Ian tries a new opening. This is bordering on a poem. Thankfully short.

"Planet Dissolving Dust". Ian got a lot of e-mails related to this. Mystery dust cloud in space that dissolves everything in its path. Its due here in about 9 years. Apparently the end of the world is on its way. Its from the Weekly World News, so Ian just pulled our collective leg.

Throwback to Red Elk from last week. Elk said volcanic activity in Washington State soon. Caller agreed with this Pacific Northwest premonition. Elk says 7.2 Earthquake "very soon" in the morning between 6 AM and 10 AM. Wow, that's precise.

IP references the infamous Oregon Bulge. Volcanic eruption soon ? Bring on Robert Trombley, Volcano guy.

RT is on. He invented some kind of volcano software.

Ian wants to know if the models suggest a blow up soon.

Trombley says something esoteric about a radio interfuragram or something. He's trying to explain that now.

Ian says that Trombley has seen it coming for a while.

Trombley says yes. He says it's magma accumulation beneath the crust.

Ian wants to know the relationship between 'quakes and volcanoes. He notes the series of smaller 'quakes last Spring.

Trombley says there is an academic dispute over the 'quake volcano relationship. Apparently, volcanoes have their own style of earthquake.

Ian asks if the volcanoes are extinct.

Trombley pooh poohs that concept.

He says there are precursors for a volcano eruption. "Earthquake swarming" around a volcano is a symptom. He says there is not enough data to suggest that an earthquake will cause an eruption.

Ian pushes for a timeframe on an eruption in the Pac. Northwest and what will happen.

Trombley tries to get credit for Mt. St. Helens erupting earlier in the year. No go, RT. He says some other one has a 33 % chance of erupting later this year.

Ian asks something I missed and Trombley blows him off.

He suggests to look for "Earthquake swarming".

Ian plugs Trombley's software. Ah, RT is only hanging for the 1st half hour.

Trombley says that "there is no immediate danger" in the Oregon area. I can rest safely now. He says its been ongoing since 1997. Huh ? How is that news then ?

Ian wants some doom and gloom. He says eruption in 3 to 5 years ?

Trombley is hesitant to give a precise date, much to Ian's chagrin.

Ian says goodbye and Trombley wants to know what happened to George Noory ! Ha ha, yes ! Ian explains that it is his night off.

Ian says a caller had a vision of a nuclear holocaust. Ian points out the news that the US is planning on changing it's nuclear doctrine. Dum, dum, dum !

E-mail about a red eyed beast in the woods and it just might be ... a man dog. Ugh. Let it die, Ian.

E-mail from Dan who heard the Man Dog Scream. He heard it in Lake Tahoe. This further emboldens my theory that it is drunk teenagers. I was known to make the sounds of "wolves fighting with a cat" whenst I'd had too many Boiler Makers.

E-mail from Dennis who is scared of technology being used for evil. Ian makes a bad joke.

E-mail from a woman who had some kind of skull picture.

Some technical issues emerge and Ian says he may have to go break early. His voice is noticeably louder. Sounds like someone may have narced on Ian's pipe smoking in the studio. He plugs the EVP episode tomorrow.

E-mail from Tara and Madonna. It's a pet ghost story, which, no doubt, causes the previous e-mail author to burst into tears. Ian, you heartless bastard ! Aw, the story turns out to be quite sad but heartwarming. Ian is speechless.

Ah ! Ian steals my joke about the previous e-mail author. Damn you, Ian.

E-mail alleging that Ian was on "Eight is Enough".

Ian has some odd google search that shows moon landing pics. Also, if you google "failure", George Bush's biography comes up first, then Michael Moore is 2nd. Same thing with "idiot".

Ian says to go in an elevator, hit close door then push to go to the floor you want and you go automatically.

Matt on Wildcard Line. Ian hooked him on Coast during one of his original hosting stints. Matt has dreams of storms. Sounds like there are sound problems here on the show.

Ian asks if he's ever heard that "everybody and everything in your dreams is you." Sounds like something you'd say on acid. He's trying to explain it but is sounding more and more like a junkie. Poor Ian, poor poor Ian.

Matt says he's making him think too much and turns into into his prediction that "Florida's gonna get washed away."

They may run out of hurricane names, apparently.

John in East of the Rockies. He's in Quebec and it is snowing there.

One of those "if you'd like to make a call" recording pops up. Odd night tonight.

John wants to talk about dopplegangers. He says he was in intelligence and changed someone's identity. Esoteric little story about changing people's identities. He says he did 4 or 5 of them. He explains it, not very well.

The twist at the end is that John changed his identity when he left the intelligence agency. He created his own doppleganger. This is turning into a weird call.

Mike in LA is the 3rd and final caller. He congratulates the Trojans. He wants to talk about Solumon, who was on the show early in IP's run. Apparently, Solumon is predicting an eminent earthquake. Ian cuts him off as time runs out on a weird SNP this week.
