Last week, Punnett made bad jokes, besmirched the usofe, and rambled on endlessly about the Paul Hellyer story. This week, he's got Dr. David Penchansky on in the first hour to talk about the number 666 and whether or not it is evil. Should be interesting. His full show guest, whom I'll surely be skipping, is Dr. Colin Campbell, talking about nutrition. Sounds ... um ... awful.

Meanwhile, in honor of the return of BoA : Audio this week and our righteous guest Adam Gorightly, we have turned FoP into a surreal adventure our dear Mr.Punnett. I'm not sure how to describe it, other than "odd". Enjoy.

Ian kicks it off with his usual introduction. He's pushing Colin Campbell, he says the core of your diet will be in "meltdown".

Ian says the dude coming on later this hour is his friend. Uh oh, so was Terry Esau and he flaked like a nut on Ian (much to my amusement) a few weeks back. Nice.

Apparently, there is another rumour going around that 666 is really 616. This debate will rage forever.

Lots of e-mail and news says Ian. Hmm, and an "e-mail experiment". Sounds interesting. Lemme guess what comes next ... yup.

This Tuesday @ binnallofamerica.com, Lesley's Grey Matters is all about Ian. Yes, Ian Punnett gets the GM treatment and we'll see how he's fared over the course of the last few months as Saturday C2C host. Lesley knows her Coast and she'll put Ian to the test this week in Grey Matters @ BoA.

While you're waiting for that, stop over to The Debris Field for Lesley's news, commentary, and observations on the world at large.

Hurricane Epsilon is growing. Uh oh. Ian says it is a "storm with a mind of its own".

Lethal bacteria is spreading in North America. Ugh. Another one ? I guess bird flu isn't working.

Rumours of some kind of suicide coincidence in that face transplant story. Apparently, they have an opt-out program in France.

Military low frequency radios are messing with people's garage door openers.

Drudge says that another #3 Al Qaeda guy is dead. How many number 3 guys are there ?

"Path to violence" is the reason for school shootings. Not drugs, apparently. Ian reads practically the whole article.

Hawaii loses 44 acres of coastline, complete with lava. Sounds tasty. Ian makes a good joke about Hampton Inns.

Wow. Creepy ghost children and naked ghost women story from Africa. Wow, creepy as hell here.

Dozens of communities in South Dakota have no power. Ian wants you to help them.

Squirrels kill a stray dog in Russia. How this made the news, I have no idea.

BoA : Audio has returned after our Thanksgiving hiatus. And we return with a bang in the form of "crackpot historian" Adam Gorightly. Adam's been neck high in esoteric waters for over a decade and explores those niche folks of the paranormal and pop culture that we all wonder about. In this week's installment of our lengthy 2 part interview, we discuss a host of esoteric topics like mind control, Charles Manson, Tuesday Weld's New World Order, Eyes Wide Shut, "Psycho" Ronnie Rains and the rollerderby craze, and a few other odds and ends of esoterica.

It's a decidedly "different" BoA : Audio, but it's one for the books and it's available NOW @ binnallofamerica.com.

The typical "Devil in Disguise" bumper music is the middling point. Ian pontificates on the implications of 666 possibly being wrong. Ian says it's tough to go a week without offending folks. He says positive e-mail is out distancing negative e-mail by 20 to one. He's going to admit that he is not smart, has no command of the English language, yes, he has no business being in broadcasting, and I'd (not binnall but the writer in general) deserves to be the host more than Ian, Ian is a bad American and Christian, and yes, he should have a face transplant. He thinks that will stop the negative e-mail. He's just encouraging it.

Pretty funny stuff. I only agree with the part about binnall deserving his job, otherwise he's wrong on the other stuff.

One of my personal joys as founder of BoA has been watching the development of Khyron of khyron.net. This week, one needs to look no further than the sheer mass of amazing stuff coming from his lofty pen to see that he is a star on the rise. Not only an in-depth review of the much talked about XBox 360, but also three lengthy reviews of XBox 360 games and how they take to the new system. Throw in a personal entry on the all-night waiting party that goes on for such a product release and the all-new look for his long running esoteric column The K-Files and you've got a khyronic motherlode. What are you waiting for ? Get yer ass over to www.khyron.net !

END OF BREAK

Dr. David Penchansky is an expert in Hebrew Bible or something. Ian asks for the background on 666 to start things out.

Dr. David wants to talk about the "verse first". His line is terrible, very fuzzy.

Ian is discussing the code number system for the Bible, where they add up names to get a number or something. Ian says 616 doesn't sound right. He wants to know how "new research is in".

Dr. David says that this is old news (as I said earlier) and that is has been known for a long time. He's appalled that it's being regarded as "new".

Ian says the story claims it comes from older texts or something.

Dr. David says it's "only one leg on the stool". How, Dr. Phil of you, Dr. David. He says 666 is the "likely winner".

Ian wants to know if people knew who 666 was back in Biblical days.

Dr. David says it represents a Hebrew rendition of Nero Caesar. He says it's complicated. I bet.

He's not impressed with the Nero Caesar idea. He says the number has significance more than the translation or something.

Ian takes it back to the 616 story. He's beating it to death and Dr. David doesn't buy the news story. He says "we'll never have the key to the code". Damn.

Ian wants a different suspect for who 666 may be. What a cheeky bastard. He wants to know if we can cast the 666 number on a contemporary figure.

Dr. David is a skeptic. He says "quasi random".

Ian asks if scholars think that there are codes in the Bible.

Dr. David "strongly, strongly" disagrees with that. Ian sounds like he's being lectured, with a meek "okay".

Ian is still trying to dig into the 616 story. Dr. David is downplaying it again. He says its too late to change it now or something.

Good stuff. Dr. David says goodbye and we wrap up this week's SNP.

Pretty good stuff this week. Ian didn't go overboard with corny jokes and was in good form this evening.
