Ian has the creepy story of Terry Esau in the first hour. Apparently this dude was witness to a horrific electrocution that made national headlines earlier in the week. Kudos to Ian and C2C for getting the scoop on this one, those creepy bastards.

It's getting cold in Minnesota, as IP can attest to. So cold, in fact, that he's taken to growing a beard ... a lumberjack beard. However, as Ian is wont to do, he will not forsake his "baby face" cheeks and thus, the half-breed Ian is what we see in tonight's "Faces of Punnett".

Theme music interrupts Noory's plug for the After Dark Malachai Martin CD and we're all the way live with Punnett.

He has some sort of problem right off the bat with his mic, but it gets fixed so he can continue onto his awful introduction.

Sadly, Ian then gets into his lengthy, and boring, preview for Dr. Allan Botkin, the full episode guest. I really should pay attention to it, but it seems worse everytime I hear it.

This seems to get longer every week and, of course, Ian goes to a break right after that. I could set my watch by SNP, damn.

Tuesday @ BoA, Lesley's "Grey Matters" looks at Graham Hancock and his newfound love of Ayahuasca. For those of you out of the loop, Lesley is a longtime fan of Graham Hancock and was instrumental in getting him onto the list of 12 Guests C2C Needs. So suffice it to say, this is a fascinating edition of Grey Matters on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, check out Lesley's blog, home of "C2C Rewind" and "Exploring Dreamland", two original columns dedicated to Lesley's take on esoteric radio. Aside from that, she has daily news and opinion updates. And you can find all that @ The Debris Field.

Ian has crypto news and some e-mails. He thanks everyone who e-mails him. He wants us to e-mail him.

News :

Story about brains being deciphered at MIT. Spooky and esoteric. I'm confused by this one.

Pirate gang tries to commandeer a cruise ship. It was on global TV tonight and on MSN news. Sweet. I've been pirate crazed for months if not years. I gotta see that video. Ian says "Surrender the booty" (probably not for the first time).

Wolf population rising in France, much to the chagrin of sheep herders. It's like an old fairy tail. The old wolf v. sheep debate.

Ian saw a wolf in St. Paul a year ago with his son. He claims it was on Halloween night and no one believed him. Interesting little recounting of the incident, complete with "Totino's Pizza Roll" reference.

Oldest Christian church ever possibly found. Ian makes a Billy Graham joke, drawing the ire of Noory's friend Pat Boone, no doubt.

Weird story about mechanical stuff breaking.

Lots of e-mail re: Judith Orloff the psychic vampire lady

Gage wrote in to get offended by Orloff. Apparently Gage is a "psy vamp". (Also known as 35 year old virgin)

Another e-mail from some dude whose friend was a psychic vampire and "drained him". Sounds like someone who has seen X-Men too many times and wishes they were Rouge.

Kids can be taught intuition says Ian. E-mail re: some dude's kids birthday party. Odd, weird story that somehow goes back to the point made by Ian earlier. Like an after school special.

Tim in Louisville, Kentucky (Not binnall) writes in to point out the vampire / Orloff connection that was pointed out by everyone when she showed up on the schedule.

Ian talks a little bit about Terry Esau, who is apparently his friend. This should be interesting. Before we get to that, however, we gotta go to a ...

This week on BoA : Audio, Season One ... an hour and 45 minutes with Peter Robbins. Yes, it's the 2nd part of this landmark interview. In this edition we talk about Peter's co-author (Larry Warren) and his reaction to everyday skeptics, the process of getting the book out to the public, Peter and Larry's UFO encounter when they went to Rendelsham to research for the book, and tons more related to "Left at East Gate". We also spend about an hour or so talking about Japanese Ufology, women in Ufology, and the Internet and Ufology. This is a fantastic episode, you've got to hear it to believe it and it's only @ binnallofamerica.com

Ian's got the scoops. Terry Esau is here. Ian implies that there is "more to the story" than what we've heard so far. Interesting. Damn you, Ian, you are so predictable. We're off to another ...

Khyron tells me he is ailing with the flu. Let's hope he gets better. He's been on a tear since September turning out top notch editions of his weekly feature The K-Files. He's been all over this story about the cryptozoological prize being offered ... then retracted ... then spun for PR, plus he covers a story on powers believed possessed by the blind and interesting statistics related to people's beliefs in God and ghosts.

If that's not enough, you've simply got to check out Khyron.net, the K-Dogg's own website. Read the reviews. Follow his saga of the infamous #8. Enjoy his webcam mystery pics. All that and more @ khyron.net.

END OF BREAK

Apparently, Terry Esau sings TV commercial jingles.

Ian wants to hear the "kitty litter" commercial jingle.

That electrocuted pastor is rolling in his grave as we speak.

Esau is uneasy about "lumping" his story in with the stories Ian presented as news. How insulting.

Ian seems put off by this. Esau is a tad stand-offish. Ian is defending Botkin. This is weird.

Damn. Esau sounds kinda like a whiner here.

This is turning into a slapfight of sorts. Ian offers to end the interview. Damn, this is wild.

Esau sounds really tweaked out here.

Ian is talking him down, somewhat, and wants to hear what led him to the electrocution.

Esau wanted to do a reality TV church show or something. He loves God. He challenged God to a "Surprise Me" thing. Sounds interesting as hell (no pun intended).

He wants raw and real faith. Um ... okay.

He met some dude who climbed a mountain during his "Surprise Me" quest.

Ian said "journaling". So ... Esau's book "Surprise Me" is published, becomes a minor Christain book hit, and Esau is ... a star !

He gets an invite from a pastor who wants Esau to come to a special session at his church.

This is getting fascinating.

Pastor brings Esau into the church, they push his book, "Surprise Me", moments later Pastor steps into his baptism pool, goes to adjust a mic, and ... boom ... horrifically electrocuted in front of his entire church. God damn. That's just my feeble summary.

Ian points to the irony of the "surprising" electrocution.

Esau had intense anger, confusion, grief, and all that stuff. The big boss pastor guy wants Esau to speak to the students because of the odd events that came to pass.

Ian wants to know if this story is picking up steam and if the pastor's death is an inadvertent result of "Surprise Me".

Esau sounds totally blown away by this.

Ian asks what the dead pastor would say about this.

Esau wants to say "shit happens", but says "garbage happens".

Ian asks some detective questions, but Esau has no clue.

Ian asks what he says to the witnesses.

Esau says the kids are "wrestling with it". He turns it into a pitch for God with some big questions. Big questions that binnall asks every day, Esau, get with it.

Wow. What a fantastic 1st hour SNP. Perhaps the best yet. Ian, this guy should have been full hour. That was wild stuff. Simply awesome and creepy is all hell.
