No pop-in scheduled and it's 5 till Punnett, so I'm going to assume it's pure Ian for this week's SNP. Sounds refreshing. I still suspect a pop-in of some sort.

Last week, I alerted you all to C2C's attempt to harness the hilarity that is "Faces of Punnett", with their own page devoted to mocking Ian. They'll never have what FoP has, for one simple reason, FoP are inherently crappy ! Yes, that's their charm. A well done "Ian with a beard" picture isn't amusing, it's creepy. Now, a poorly drawn one done via "Paint" ... that's laughtacular. Therefore, say hello to "French Ian".

"Afflicting the comfortable", part of Ian's ever worsening introduction.

John Michael Greer is making his C2C debut tonight. He's part of a bunch of organizations and is an expert in monsters and such. Sounds interesting.

What doesn't sound interesting is that Ian is going to read some of his book now. Sounds like he is reading the Table of Contents. Hey, it's better than the Index, Ian.

Update on Ian's adventure at the diner last week. He made one plug for his appearance and drew what sounds like 9 people, because he can list them for us. That's cool, though. Ian had an omelet.

He's going to "try that again some time". Betcha we don't see him in Boston ... binnall country.

He apparently did some game where he had something hidden in a box (I missed most of the episode). He says out of approx. 150 people, one person "got it". Uh oh. We'll see. Nice teaser heading into the ...

It's a special spooky edition of "Grey Matters" as Lesley looks at ghosts. What are they ? Where do they come from ? What do they mean ? Lesley tackles ghosts for the very first time and you can expect her usual thoughtful analysis in this excellent edition of "Grey Matters". Meanwhile, BoA has begun alerting our readers to Lesley's outstanding dual columns, "C2C Rewind" and "Exploring Dreamland", found exclusively @ her blog The Debris Field.

Ian says the White Sox won game 1 of the World Series. Good for them.

Talking about Wilma. Now Alpha. First time ever to run out names in 6 decades. Ian's mother lives in Florida. Too much information.

Bird flu. A parrot died in quarantine. Stop the presses. The morgues are stocking up. Yikes.

China will close its border in the event of a "bird flu" human-to-human transmission.

BBC says pirates are running wild off the coast of Somalia. Go pirates. The navy may go fight the pirates. Sad.

Swedish couple names their kid "google". Sounds bogus. Ian makes a corny joke here.

Pages coming out of color printers have tracking stuffs on them. How is that news ? I assume that was known by now. Apparently this was supposed to be a secret, that's freaky.

Star Trek 4. Clear aluminum was in the movie. Clear aluminum is being made now. Wow. We're living in Star Trek 4. I call Shatner !

Rice has designed a single molecule car. Nanostuffs.

Tiny fleas that live on fungus have antifreeze. Ian calls them "antifleas".

Sex on a mission to Mars is a problem say some geniuses who want an investigation of this. Ian makes a marriage joke. Uh oh, Mrs. Ian won't like that one.

Wade e-mails with some 1918 stories re : the White Sox.

Paul e-mails to say Hurricane Wilma will hit Louisiana.

Doug e-mails to say Spain will be hit with a natural disaster within the month.

Items in Ian's box last week ... apparently he didn't reveal it last week and got lots of e-mails from folks who were confused and/or mad ... what was in the box ...

Ken says "smooth item, solid, porcelain or pottery, roses or flowers, aroma"

The item in the box was ... green, smooth, oak-leafed shaped ceramic incense burner.

That is fairly close. Kudos to Ken.

Ian plugs the bearded photos, twisting the knife in binnall as we head to the ...

Greg Bishop discusses John Lear, C2C, Bill Moore's legacy in Ufology, East Coast v. West Coast, and some dude who tried to lay some disinfo on him. All that and more in this week's BoA : Audio, Season One. It's part 2 of the already classic Greg Bishop interview and you can only find it at binnallofamerica.com.

If that's not good enough ... coming soon to binnallofamerica.com ... the streaming audio you've been waiting for. No more having to download, now you can just kick back and listen. (I know I've said this before, but dammit I mean it this time, coming very soon)

Ian calls his bearded pics "art". Egads. The new pics this week are actually more bizarre than last week, though I think they slipped a Hitler one in there from someone named "Chris S". Check it out here : Ian Bearded Pics II @ C2C website

"Ghost Files" has entered the white light. "The K-Files" have been born. Yes, BoA's Khyron has rebranded his long running and popular Wednesday column as it evolves and grows. Last week, he covered Loren Coleman's big money offer for some cryptozoological proof, real life vampires, and the age old question of "is this the apocalypse ?" Next week ... we'll find out when K dips into the 'Files on Wednesday @ BoA. Until then, visit www.khyron.net for some amazing stuffs like Khyron's review of the film "Serenity" and the game "City of Villains".

Open Lines

A dude says he found some RFID on Old Spice Deodorant. He claims that Old Spice says they didn't do it and neither did the store. That sounds bad that no one cops to putting it in there, unless the caller did it. He says he found it inside the wrapping of a beard trimmer, but didn't call that company. Some investigator.

Ian says there outta be a law.

Gabriel, East of the Rockies. With all due respect, Gabriel sounds like a dude. Maybe Ian mispronounced the name or something. Gabriel doesn't like "the aliens". He/she saw 7 craft at one time. Wow. I'm jealous. He/she also saw a "sky void".

Ian turns it into a plug for Noory's HAARP episode, but it's actually Art Bell. Ian is quickly corrected by someone off-mic.

Ian saw a UFO when he was 18 years old (and no doubt drunk). He'll tell the story later in the hour.

Kevin is in Connecticut, listening to XM. Ian implies he is a fool for subscribing to XM, smooth business move there, Ian. He corrects Ian's math on that google story earlier. Ha ha. He has a follow up to the RFID and color printer tracking story. And he's rambling.

I literally jumped up, went to the bathroom, took a "number 1", and got back here as Ian responded to his ramble.

Therefore, I'm out of the loop on Ian's stammering answer. Perhaps he had to go take a pee just now too.

Steve on the Wildcard line. He's in NYC. Ian flew into NYC last week. Ian tells a story about his driving in NYC last weekend. Steve wants to talk about the sexual tension on Mars trip story from earlier. He says to just get ugly astronauts. Ian says after a few months, people will get better looking.

Sam on 1st Time Caller Line. He wants to talk about Wilma and the "weather war". He's been listening to C2C for 7 years. Sam sounds very excited to be on. 7 years listening, 1st time calling ? That's bizarre. I think he's referencing Kaku, but it is turning into a bit of a ramble here. Ian no-sells it and turns it into a plug for tomorrow's show.

Ian thanks everyone who listens to C2C as the show is doing awesome in the ratings. NightOwl and Mike B. are Ian's other 2 favorite Ian's bearded photos, for those of you keeping score at home.

Ian's UFO Story : 1978. Ian is 18. He's "with a friend". Not drinking. Suburbs of Chicago. Looking out over Lake Michigan. This is beginning to get homoerotic, I hope he's with a woman. Uh oh, he and his "friend" are "just talking". Suuure. And, he sees a bouncy light. It gets brighter and brighter then does a 90 degree angle. Little light coming at him and then another one. They keep watching. The lights stop. They zip straight up and disappear.

On that vaguely creepy note, we wrap up this week's SNP. Nice "unplugged Punnett" this week without the trappings of a pop-in. It's hours like these that endear him to the C2C audience. Good showing by IP, I can sense he's settled back in to the Coast world.
