It's practically "Inside the Director's Studio" this week as Ian will have Kathleen Slattery-Moschkau on as 1st hour pop-in to talk about her movie "Side Effects", a satire about prescription drugs. IP goes to the prescription drug well once again. Geez.

Meanwhile, Halloween is right around the corner and that can only mean one thing ... "Faces of Punnett" gets creepy. This week, ol' IP busts out the bleach and adopts the persona of his childhood hero Hulk Hogan. But why stop there ? IP goes all out, with his best impression of evil version of the Hulkster. Yes, it's "Hollywood" Punnett.

And, wouldn't ya know it, the C2C fandom at large has stolen binnall's landmark idea and now C2C features a webpage depicting, you guessed it, the "Bearded Ian Gallery". Wow. I'm so insultated. You can check that out here : HERE Note this webpage emerges 7 weeks after the debut of FoP here @ SNP. Ian, you mock me yet again !

Whoah ! Ian just jumps on before theme music, in the middle of Streamlink bumper muzac, and right in the middle of saying something. Someone's drunk at the switch, I think.

Ian is apparently at some other city. I believe he said "Upstate NY" last week. He mocked some dude who worked at the radio station there, which amused me.

Now he's rambling about some kind of old church. I am terribly confused already. All I've got here is "Saint Dunston". Ah, I get it. He is pushing the full show guest Stephan Schwarz, remote viewer. I presume he is involved in remote viewing this old church. Thank crap, I've figured out what is going on.

Ugh. This may be the lamest opening for an SNP I've heard in quite some time. Wrap it up, Ian. I'm getting "Ian's 911 Poem" flashbacks here, as this gets tedious.

Wow. He goes right to a break. Something tells me he will berate an intern over how the opening got cut off. Here's hoping he throws hot coffee on someone and makes them cry.

COMMERCIAL BREAK

Tuesday @ binnallofamerica.com, Lesley rocks it out with a look at the local NM legend of La Llorona. This is a truly educational edition of "Grey Matters" and also includes some fun insight into how a local learns of the legend. Meanwhile, we @ BoA have begun alerting our readers to Lesley's weekly look back at and ahead to the week in Coast. Yes, it's "C2C Rewind" and I highly recommend it. You can find it, of course, linked up @ BoA or directly @ Lesley's blog The Debris Field . Check it out.

END OF BREAK

Ian has news and e-mails.

He's mentioning the C2C webpage with the Ian pics with beards. Yes, very funny, and not one third as creative as FoP. There, I said it.

Story on Rosslyn Chapel

Story on a fireball in Europe. Hmm, sounds interesting.

Story on kid who took "art" picture of Bush. Hilarious.

Story on Judith Miller. She can't remember her source. That's ridiculous.

Story on 2 headed diamondback rattler. Spooky.

Ian was visiting a monastery. What a creep. I wonder if he met any C2C fans for breakfast like he promised last week.

Ian read the book of tonight's guest while staying in the monastery. That's odd.

Update on Jared from last week. Damn, the mass prayer didn't help.

E-mail re : Last week's Mary Roach episode, it was scary.

E-mail re : RFID chip. Obvious question re: criminals using RFID tags.

E-mail re: "smart pills"

E-mail re: Maury Povich being worse than Jerry Springer.

E-mail re: Ian's horoscope.

Holy garbage ! Ian will be going to some diner at 5 AM. He invites us all to meet him. Crap, I can't make it on 3 and a half hours notice. He says the code is "Hello, Ferret Face". He warns us that if this is a replay, don't go there.

Ian, just when I want to hate you, you pull a stunt like this and I find myself wondering why I'd hate you in the first place. Kudos, you plucky bastard.

COMMERCIAL BREAK

This week marks the beginning of a two part interview with Greg Bishop, author of one of 2005's most talked about UFO books "Project Beta". This will be a must-hear for anyone who read Bishops landmark book and a real eye opener for those of you who haven't. In the lengthy portion posted this week, we discuss Ufologists Paul Bennewitz and Bill Moore, government disinfo agents Richard Doty and "Falcon", MJ-12, Roswell, Dulce bases, disclosure, and tons of other stuff. Over an hour and a half of esoteric goodness ... available now @ BoA.

END OF BREAK

Yes ! Ian rocks it out hardcore with a little "Three Dog Night" and it's "Shambala", no less. You, sir, have earned yet another round of kudos for your taste in music.

He pushes the C2C webpage with more bearded Punnetts. They've added more now and they're actually pretty good. Very realistic too.

COMMERCIAL BREAK

Over the past few months, we have seen a serious evolution in the artist we know as Khyron. This prolific writer has tackled subjects great and small with his blog khyron.net and left no esoteric stone unturned with his Wednesday staple "Ghost Files" @ BoA. Explore Khyron's world.

END OF BREAK

Ian welcomes Kathleen Slattery-Moschkau to the show.

They are "self distributing" the film and doing a "rolling release". (i.e. they only own one print of the film).

Ian wants to know how the box office receipts are.

She says good.

Ian points out that the film was made for under $200,000, which is really low for indy flicks. He compares her film to a bad commercial, that's nice of him.

After joking around some, Ian wants to get serious. He wants to talk about how Kathleen got into pharmaceutical sales. Ian doesn't let her finish, suggests that she was hired for her looks.

She suggests this is so. Doctors see sick and old people all the time and get "wowed" by sexy people. Nice, maybe I can become a pharmaceutical salesman. You need "charm and good looks". I'm in.

Ian says there's a lot of food and alcohol bribery.

She says there is a lot of whining and dining going on.

Ian points out that she got bonuses for the most pills sold.

She extrapolates on this some. Sounds interesting.

Ian leads us to the obvious crux of how someone wholly unqualified was pushing pills on doctors.

She talks about that aspect of her story and how that is what was the impetus behind her making the film.

Apparently, the storyline of the film mirrors the recent Vioxx story.

Ian's going to spoil the flick, I think. He wants to know about what worried her when she sold the drugs and if she feels responsible.

She says no to feeling responsible. She does seem to feel guilty for her slanted approach to sales.

They're both belaboring the point here. Maybe I'm just grumpy tonight.

Ian wants to know if the pharma companies are making big money, despite their claims of losing money.

She says they are profitable and that 2/3 of the pharma companies budget is marketing, not R and D.

Ian hopes for a "Side Effects" TV sitcom as his plug for her flick. He cuts her off to wrap it up.

Ugh. Bit of a drag this week. The final half hour was mildly interesting and the film sounds decent, but otherwise it was bleh.
