Despite the exciting news that we broke last week in Hot Newz, it turns out our reporting was done in haste ...
After we went to press, the network TV fat cats were aghast when they saw the expenses for Richard C. Hoagland's Coral Castle segment (80% of which was simply classified as "science advisor"). In addition to that, a simple perusal of the "hits" and "misses" for Sean David Morton and Louis Turi left the folks at "New Year's Rockin' Eve" feeling less than optimistic about their planned "new direction for New Year's." Proposed co-host George Noory's insistance that he wear his annual New Year's Eve costume of Baby New Year was enough for ABC to scrap the esoteric elements of their New Year's festivus and to return to their more traditional format. What was the C2C gang to do ? Well ... The Noor quickly returned to C2C HQ with Hoagland, Morton, and Turi behind him. He rang up Jerome Corsi, who picked up Linda Moulton Howe and Ed Dames along the way. Friedman popped over with Loren Coleman and somehow Glynis McCants showed up at 11:11. Other esoteric names and faces soon began filling C2C HQ. It seemed like all of the stars in the C2C universe had come together to ring in 2008. And The Noor celebrated as he did in 2007 and 2006 ... diaper clad and welcoming a whole new year of esoteric goodness. |
