Following their humiliating defeat in the baseball playoffs this past week, there have been rumblings that the New York Yankees were looking to make some dramatic changes in their organization.
My sources tell me that baseball pundits have been hearing a lot of rumblings coming out of St.Louis, but its not centered around Cardinals manager Tony LaRussa, but rather Cardinals superfan George Noory. Presently, Noory is campaigning hard for the job of skipper for the NY Yankees, mostly based around the fact that his last name sounds a lot like "Torre". Frighteningly, this similarity makes him all the more appealing to the increasingly senile George Steinbrenner. Should The Noor get the job, sources expect him to name Richard C. Hoagland as "hyperdimensional batting coach" soon thereafter. |
