Last week, my sources in the reality TV community clued me in to George Noory and Richard C. Hoagland's pivotal roles in the upcoming CBS reality show "Kid Nation" (formerly "Noory Nation"). Since the news caused such a stir in esoterica, we pressed our sources for more details and they, thankfully, slipped us a few more pictures of this now-infamous television "experiment".
Seen above is a giant paper mache head of "The Noor", which lorded over the children toiling on the Enterprise Mission Ranch. Apparently, whenever one of the child servants would stop working, whether it be from exhaustion or dehydration, the head would instantly begin berating them, shouting "Stop slacking, keep working. Noory is watching you ... always !" Seen to the left is what has been dubbed the "Elder's Council", where the work ethic of the child laborers was judged. The Noor and Hoags are flanked by the two kids who readily sold out their fellow servants and realized they'd be better off serving as stooges to the powerful esoteric duo. |
As a final post script to the "Noory Nation" story, once rumours began to surface of what really went on in the New Mexico desert (i.e. the forced building of the "RCH Commemorative Observatory"), CBS quickly went back to the editing room. Eliminated from the program were Hoagland and Noory and, instead, the program now centered around the family friendly concept of kids making their own society, hence the new title, "Kid Nation".
