Busy, busy, busy ... the story of my life the past week or so. It's time, once again, for another trip through the news cycle with News Watch.
Firstly, I want to personally welcome anyone who is reading this who may have discovered binnallofamerica.com in the past few days. We hope you explore the site, enjoy what you see and decide to keep coming back.
Also want to thank Jeff Rense for picking up my article on the ABC UFO special that contains a detailed log of the program, along with key quotes from some of the players in the special. The goodly Mr.Rense was kind enough to put the story as the lead on his website today, earning binnallofamerica.com serious "street cred". Keep coming back and we'll keep producing quality stuff.
Hot 5 Stories of the Week
1>BTK suspect will appear in court Tuesday (CNN)
http://www.cnn.com/2005/LAW/02/28/btk.investigation/index.html
Yes. Something is going right here @ News Watch, as last week we discussed the news story about how the BTK's missives had become "gentler". One week later, the BTK suspect is arrested. Perhaps a "cold case" section is in order sometime down the line.
Meanwhile, so much to say about the BTK. Firstly, I ask why my personal favorite serial killer The Zodiac cannot be arrested, but we can get BTK.
Since his arrest, rumors are swirling that first BTK's daughter submitted DNA that nailed him and then that he outright confessed to 6 murders. Following that, the cops came out to brow beat everyone for discussing BTK and speculating on various aspects of the case.
One thing I've not heard speculated upon yet is that picture :

I detect a Rollie Fingers mustache in the works. More after we see his appearance in court.
From the Article :
The Associated Press, citing a single, unnamed source, said the suspect, Dennis Rader, confessed to six killings. But in an interview with CNN on Monday, Wichita Police Chief Norman Williams was tight-lipped, saying that any information from interviews with suspects would not be released to the public.
2>Dad pleads innocent to North Shore rink rage (Boston Herald via BadJocks.com)
http://news.bostonherald.com/localRegional/view.bg?articleid=70458
Stories like this make one wonder what the world is coming to. Apparently this dude grabbed some kid "Homer Simpson style" and tried to discipline him. But ... it wasn't his kid, which is a big "no no". Back in the day, the strangled kid's dad would probably either punch him out or take him out for a beer in thanks of "teaching his kid a lesson".
Irregardless of this particular case, parents don't discipline their kids anymore, that much is for certain. And, eventually, nuts like this guy flip out and attempt to do it themselves and go to jail. It's called personal responsibility and it has to lie somewhere.
The furor of ice hockey in Massachusetts is an odd little trend in and of itself. Rage filled hockey dads is not uncommon. Recently, one town turned to having a game with no fans permitted. Think about that.
From the Article :
Jordan Waldman, 50, is accused of grabbing Cameron Byrne around the neck and swearing at him after a Salem-Swampscott Youth Hockey Association game against Masconomet in December in Peabody.
Susan Byrne said her son was leaving the ice when Waldman's 6-year-old pushed him. Cameron told him to stop, she said, and when his teammate didn't, he turned around and pushed him back. That's when Waldman accosted him, Byrne said.
3>Diverse Groups Fear Driver's License Bill (AP via Infowars.com)
http://www.infowars.com/articles/bb/nat_id_drivers_license_diverse_groups_fear_bill.htm
Yup, it appears no one likes the new driver's license bill. Everyone from hippies and yuppies to bikers and gays have said they don't want it. Of course, they have no choice, but what's a little thing like that going to do to stop them ?
Thankfully, there's one place that has is attempting not to yield to the oncoming Police State: Montana. Yes, the good folks in the wide open "outback of America" are taking a stand. Now if only some other places would assert their state's rights, we would stand a fighting chance of keeping our freedoms.
From the Article :
In Montana, members of the state House are refusing to cede their driver's license authority to Washington. Last week, they approved a bill that prohibits the adoption of federal driver's license standards for noncommercial licenses.
4>Ukraine Blames Russia for the Loss of Shoulder-Fired Missiles (Pravda via SteveQuayle.com)
http://www.stevequayle.com/News.alert/05_Unrest/050228.Ukraine.SAMs.html
Only in the former Soviet Union can you lose a handful of missiles and the sophisticated system to launch them. According to this, somewhere during a little "lovers quarrel" between Russia and the Ukraine, the missiles vanished. No word on whether Russia is also suspected of stealing the Ukraine's "favorite pair of jeans".
Apparently serious hardware is just lying around in the Ukrainian warehouses, guarded no doubt by half soused Ukrainian privates with more on their mind than a 9 year-old missile system. That's a recipe for trouble if I've ever heard one. One wonders what other ballistics are located in these warehouses.
From the article :
The incident occurred early in the morning on February 22nd. A Strela-3 shoulder-fired anti-aircraft system and two missiles disappeared from a military warehouse of the Ukrainian Navy. The loss was found after an urgent stock inspection was carried out at several warehouses. It was decided to conduct the inspection after a sentry frightened two strangers off the guarded territory. The sentry checked the doors of the warehouse and found that the seal on the gate of one of the warehouses was removed, whereas the doors of another warehouse had the lock missing.
5>Schwarzenegger Shrugs Off Presidential Bid
http://apnews.myway.com/article/20050228/D88HHKJ80.html
No bleeding way. Arnold is merely pulling the old "I don't want anything for my birthday" routine. This way, when the Constitution is changed, he can say he's only running "because the people demanded it." No doubt, Alex Jones is chomping all over this as we speak. And good on him for that.
Irregardless of what Schwarzennegger said, the news story linking Arnold to the Presidency is carried all over the wires. Subliminally getting folks prepared for the onslaught that will be his campaigning. The poor children of America will be forced to learn to spell his name for enternity. This presidency must be stopped.
The article plugs the pro-Arnold website, saying there was a groundswell of support. No mention of the Alex Jones anti-Arnold site that also has a groundswell of support. No surprise there.
From the Article :
"I don't think the idea is that all the push is because of me. I mean, I have never thought about running for president, and this is not my vision," Schwarzenegger said on "This Week with George Stephanopoulos."
Future News Now
U.S. pushes U.N. on abortion declaration (AP via Infowars.com)
http://www.infowars.com/articles/life/us_pushes_un_abortion_declaration.htm
Looks like the government's going behind the American people's back and suggesting policy to the UN. The UN is about to issue some kind of fatwah declaring the rights of women worldwide. Apparently they have that right now. Meanwhile, the US wants "right to an abortion" stricken from this declaration, much to the chagrin of that whole "Pro-Choice" mindset.
Eventually, these UN declarations will start being taken seriously. And, then, when certain rights are excluded from them, it will give individual governments the right to refuse them to their citizenry. "Well, it's against the UN". Welcome to the future.
From the Article :
On Friday, the United States proposed an amendment to the draft declaration that would reaffirm the Beijing platform and declaration - but only "while reaffirming that they do not create any new international human rights, and that they do not include the right to abortion," according to the text obtained by The Associated Press.
Noory Stories
Didn't I tell you already in the binnall report this week that I was plum tuckered all last week and missed the majority of Noory ?! Oh, I did. Anyway, a quick perusal of the boards doesn't bring up any news stories that I recall The Noor dishing out. Again, however, I missed most of Noory's news reading last week, so if I missed you, 1000 apologies.
Jackson Schmackson

Much like your average mainstream media losers, you know it's getting serious, as we've broken out the "graphic". Yes, it's time once again for the circus that is the Jackson Trial or as we call it here ... Jackson Schmackson.
Where to begin ... the trial started today and everyone's going bananas. The prosecutor's opening statements, a lurid description of Jackson's alleged behaviour is the kind of thing folks at the major networks love. So, you'll be hearing a lot about it there. It's more than too sick for me to delve into however.
Meanwhile, CNN profiled the sleepy little town of Santa Maria, California where the trial is taking place, including this quote from a local attorney, "It's not a good place to wear makeup to court". This was followed quickly by a sexual harassment lawsuit by the town's
transgendered stenographer.
The trial will be in full swing as of now and may necessitate a closer look from the braintrust @ binnallofamerica.com. Till then, here's the latest numbers :
The Jackson Scale : 80 (Last Week : 75)
A scale of 1 to 100, with 100 being nearly certain, I will deduce the odds of Jackson being found guilty and going to jail. This is not an opinion of his guilt, just a barometer of the potential outcome of the trial.
Editorial
Gannongate and the Vaccuum of Coverage
It seems like it should be a fairly big story, a credential-less reporter getting access to White House press events who then turns out to be a "male escort". Toss in all sorts of sordid rumors and salacious innuendo, it's right up there with the Jackson trial. But ... no, precious little coverage from the mainstream press.
Sure, some stations have aired bits of it, but not in the "hype machine" way that we've come to know and loathe from our news outlets. It's obvious why, but, of course, it bears repeating for those of you who do not yet know. Two big reasons why we have not seen much of it.
Firstly, the media desperately wants to stay in the good graces of the present administrations. They lap up the bull plop and generously heap it out to us, in their minds "it ain't broke" so there's no need for "fixing it". To use another cliche, they do not want to bite the hand that feeds them. That's all well and good, I suppose, and I could accept that in some ways though I do not like it nor appreciate it. However there is also a darker side to the lack of media coverage and it is the real reason why we see no serious investigation from the news outlets.
It goes all the way back to the infamous Franklin Cover-up. Do the math, folks. That story went deep into Washington and the many folks implicated got out free and clear to do their nefarious deeds. Meanwhile, there is a considerable "gay underground" in the media, this much is fairly certain. Combine the two and you've got a serious gun-shy media who does not want to go starting to overturn rocks in their own backyard.
No, we are not getting the full story, but that is because the media is part of the story. Only truly independent, or as the professional liars in the mainstream call them "alternative", media will deliver a fair assessment of the details of this Gannon story. Expecing anything like that from the mainstream is futile, they're too busy covering the Oscars.
End Notes
That just about does it for us this week with News Watch. Want to give everyone a heads up to check out this week's "Wrath of Joe", where Joe takes a look at The Papacy and the Prophecies of St.Malachy. I can say, without a doubt, that this is in the upper echelon of work I've seen from Joe and is tremendously educational and thoroughly researched. That will be posted @ binnallofamerica.com sometime tomorrow.
Want to also encourage you all to check out the site for comprehensive coverage of the ABC UFO Special, including an interview with Terry Hansen, author of the fantastic "Missing Times". That's there now, along with several lengthy works by binnall re : the Peter Jennings fiasco.
Until we meet again ... be safe, be real, and be prepared.
