Let me start by saying I won’t be making any outlandish predictions of an alien invasion or anything, but just pondering what we may have to look forward to in the upcoming year.
We will get this out of the way first thing, the c2c TV show on SciFi channel. Sure there are lots of ufo investigation type shows on TV, ufo files, scifi investigates and dozens more and those seem to be pretty popular, but there are no “talk show” style paranormal/ufo shows. As far as I know the only other person who tried one was Dan Aykroyd and that never made it to air. I am going to wager that if this show is done right (and who knows who is really running things), it will be a big hit. In fact, I have a feeling that even if it isn’t that great it will still be a hit, just because it is something different than the normal investigation shows.
I don’t know of anything else on the horizon for TV, so lets take a look at books.
First, the much anticipated sequel of UFOs and the National Security State, by Richard Dolan. I don’t know anyone who isn’t looking forward to that and all the great interviews Dolan is sure to do when it is released. Will it live up to the first volume, so far as the rave reviews? Sequels normally don’t, but I will guess that it will still earn plenty of kudos and be worth reading.
Then there is Frank Feschino’s “Shoot them down.” Right now there is a version available from Filament books, but Feschino is working on a expanded edition. The first edition created great buzz from many, including the likes of Stanton Friedman, so assuming the expanded edition will be out in 2007, I am sure it will be a big hit.
DVD -
First, I am pretty sure that Alex Jones will have a new DVD about the Illuminati out sometime during 2007. I did hear him briefly mention it. Also, he mentioned that he was working on another DVD with Jim Marrs, which I would hope would be out in 2007, but it sounds like it is kind of on the back burner right now.
I am also hoping that Dan Aykroyd will put out a DVD of his TV show that never made it to air. He mentioned that he was hoping to in “Dan Aykoyd : Unplugged on UFOs", so let’s hope he does.
News for 2007 -
I am going to guess that Bob Lazar will continue to be in the news for various things that are unrelated to ufos.
There will be, as always, at least one big ufo hoax.
I am also going to guess that as the President becomes less and less popular that there will be more conspiracy related news on CNN, FOX, MSNBC and so on.
On the conspiracy front I am sure we can expect that more “famous” people will come forward as believers in a 911 conspiracy. I probably don’t remember everyone who has come forward so far, but I do remember Charlie Sheen, James Brolin and David Lynch. Let’s put our hopes on a A-list celeb, preferably not Paris Hilton or anyone of that sort, lets hope for a Nicole Kidman or Brad Pitt.
I will also predict that Alex Jones will do something that will get him arrested. I think I have a least a 60/40 chance on that one.
So far as BOA goes, it will continue to grow. Tim Binnall will become even more respected than he is already and all those involved with the esoteric world will be clamoring for him to interview them.
Some of you may be wondering why I have not mentioned c2c very much. I will get around to them after the coastie winners are announced.
As for myself, it is always hardest to predict one’s own path. So I will tell you what I do know, I will continue writing Grey Matters and blogging, probably until they pry my cold, dead hands from the keyboard. You are stuck with me.
