We kick things off by finding out about Jim's upcoming fiction book Sisterhood of the Rose and learn why he chose to make his first foray into fiction. We then discuss Ted Kennedy and ponder why he never publicy weighed in on the conspiracy theories surrounding his brothers' deaths. This segues into a discussion on the "Kennedy curse" and the eerie connection between many Kennedy deaths and sidereal time. Staying within the Kennedy assassination realm, we ponder what America's history would have been like if JFK had not been assassination (thank to a question from usofe member Redsonsuperman). This leads to Jim revealing who he thinks were guilty parties in the JFK murder as well as how involved he thought LBJ was in the assassination. Jim then talks about the shift in America towards a socialist state and how it has been ongoing for years.

Our conversation then moves into another realm of esoterica where Jim has done a wealth of research: Ufology. We start by talking about what seemed to be the nadir of American UFO studies, the early 1970's. Jim reflects on that era of Ufology and why things seemed to change for the worse after that. Jim discusses how the "divide and conquer" strategy was used on UFO studies and how he has seen it firsthand in esoterica which the criticism aimed at him for studying both JFK and UFOs. Jim also stresses the importance of investigating the UFO phenomenon and addresses rumours that he's been hearing about impending UFO disclosure.

We also talk about what the government's preferred method of UFO disclosure might be and the longstanding theories / rumours of a potential "false flag" alien invasion / arrival. We also acknowledge the surprise arrival, during the interview, from Jim's rooster in the background. Tackling another question submitted by a usofe member (Richard Thomas), we find out from Jim what he thinks of the theories that there were hidden archaeological breakthroughs that were one of the main reasons behind the Iraq war.

We then cover another far-reaching, 4th wall smashing question as we get Jim's opinion on why esoterica, as a whole, has yet to crack a single mystery, whether it is UFOs, Bigfoot, the JFK assassination, ghosts, etc. Jim also points out one of the big problems with studying UFOs and reflects on what may be a conditioning process at work to prepare people for the reality of UFOs.

We then move back into the conspiracy realm and talk about how 911 is in danger of becoming this generation's JFK assassination, where, in the future, the majority of people will believe it was a conspiracy but it will be too late to do anything about it. Jim discusses how the awareness of a 911 conspiracy does seem to be spreading and shares what he feels is tremendous evidence, that was revealed this past year, that 911 was an inside job.

Taking the conversation totally into left field, we then discuss one of the mysteries researched by Jim for his book Above Top Secret: secret codes in road signs and what the codes may indicate. This leads to some discussion on the swine flu "epidemic" and how it could lead to further government control over the population. We next discuss another mystery examined by Jim in the ATS book: the John Titor story. Jim offers his opinion on the veracity of the story as well as which aspects seem to resonate in today's world.

Handling two more questions from usofe posters, we find out from Jim if anything can be done to reclaim control of the world from the "bad guys" who seem to be the ones in power. Jim gives reasons why he thinks things will get better for everyone, how long that will take, and what people need to do to create positive change for the world. He also puts forth the argument that the "powers that be" are actually losing control right now as opposed to solidifying control over the world. Heading towards the close, we then ponder 2012 with Jim and get his take on whether the esoteric world is being "set up" to be disappointed when nothing happens on 12/21/2012. Jim talks about how 2012 has been a recurring date in the cultures and legends of many ancient peoples. He also talks about some interesting scientific elements that occur around December of 2012. Wrapping things up, we find out what's next for Jim Marrs, specifically a new non-fiction book that should arrive sometime in mid-2010.

Jim Marrs is the author of the esoteric classics "Crossfire", "Rule By Secrecy", and "Alien Agenda". They are essential reading for all esoteric researchers. Jim Marrs has also authored one of the first books ever on Remote Viewing, "Psi Spies", and two books on 911, "War on Freedom" and "Inside Job". His website is www.jimmarrs.com.

As an added bonus to our Season Premiere, following our Jim Marrs interview, we have a mini-interview with Governor Jesse Ventura, star of the new TruTV series Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Ventura.

We begin the conversation by finding out how Gov. Ventura first got interested in conspiracy theories. He then talks about his new show Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Ventura, which debuts on TruTV on December 2nd. Jesse then discusses why it seems like conspiracy theories have been marginalized by the mainstream media and he reflects on his time as governor of Minnesota and having to deal with media bias.

Moving into discussion on conspiracy theories, we get Jesse's take on the concerns of many in esoterica that 911 will turn out to be just like the JFK assassination, where many believe it was a conspiracy but it is too late to do anything about it. Jesse then talks about some of the issues surrounding 911 that upset him. We then talk about what people need to do to affect change in America.

We also get Jesse's thoughts on the UFO phenomenon and why it isn't one of the featured conspiracies on his new series. We also find out why Jesse finds 2012 to be "very, very disturbing." Wrapping things up, Jesse shares a story of traveling to Roswell and having a waitress that he is sure was an alien.

For those who want to listen to just the interview with Jesse Ventura, here it is, in stand-alone form:
