It's time, once again, for BoA:Audio's annual pause from the paranormal to celebrate the emergence of Spring as we welcome a cavalcade of esoteric stars for our 2013 Baseball Special. Joining us for this year's festivities are 2012 prediction contest winner Paul Kimball, Greg Bishop, Adam Gorightly, Jason Offutt, Richard Dolan, and winner of the 2012 listener prediction contest, 'shotz90s' from theusofe.com. Collectively, we'll look forward to a whole new baseball season, look back at the year that was, and share our predictions for how 2013 will unfold. Along the way, we'll also journey down a number of sideroads unrelated to either baseball or the paranormal, but still quite a bit of fun.

As always, we welcome you to join in on the annual prediction contest. The winner amongst the listeners will be invited to participate in the 2014 edition of the baseball special. You can submit your predictions by e-mailing your entries to BoA HQ or posting them at theusofe.com. Good luck!

A complete collection of the 2013 predictions, as submitted by our 'experts,' can be found here.

Full Preview: We begin the festivities with 2012 Prediction Contest winner, paranormal pundit, and filmmaker Paul Kimball, who celebrates his victory in last year's contest by trash talking his competitors. We then move on to Paul's issues with this year's World Baseball Classic, particularly the lack of interest in the WBC from the fans in the United States. Paul grouses about the lack of star American players representing the US as well as the low ratings for televised games in the US. We then debate who is failing when it comes to getting the WBC to be taken seriously. Next we dive in to the Paul's predictions for the annual contest and Binnall also shares his predictions for 2013. Wrapping things up, we find out what's next for Paul Kimball, including a new series coming to Canadian TV.

Up next, we speak with longtime BoA:Audio friend Greg Bishop and we start by getting his take on the wild spending spree and reemergence of his hometown team, the LA Dodgers. Greg talks about some of the changes that have taken place at Dodgers Stadium, since the team was sold. We also talk about how the Dodgers took a bunch of overpaid players from the Red Sox last season. As is our annual tradition, Greg tells us about the slew of games that he plans on attending this coming season. We also reflect on the Dodgers-Giants rivalry, the fan attack that happened on Opening Day a few years ago, and what the zeitgeist of Dodger fandom is as the season is about to begin. Closing out the segment, we get Greg's predictions for the 2013 season. And, wrapping things up, we find out what's next for Greg Bishop in 2013.

Our third segment features BoA:Audio's resident rascal, the illustrious Adam Gorightly. Adam reflects on narrowly losing the predictions title and basks in the glory of his San Francisco Giants winning yet another World Series in 2012. Adam reflects on the challenges facing the Giants and their need to sign their young players to longterm contracts. We also get Adam's take on the future of Tim Lincecum as well as the state of the Dodgers - Giants rivalry. Next we learn Adam's 2013 strategy for the predictions contest, eschewing his Jesus-based method in favor of letting Satan choose his picks. Additionally, as is custom when speaking with Adam Gorightly, we must get our annual NBA update and find out his thoughts on Dwight Howard as a Laker and how he sees the rest of the basketball season unfolding. And, wrapping things up, we find out what's next for Adam in 2013.

Batting cleanup on this year's special is popular paranormal journalist and frequent BoA collaborator Jason Offutt. We kick things off by discussing Jason's hometown team, the Kansas City Royals, and reflect on how they've gone from perennial cellar dwellers to a potential dark horse breakout team in 2013. Jason reflects on the big offseason trade which brought strong pitching to Kansas City in exchange for a highly touted prospect. Jason also recalls his time working at Royal Stadium and reveals how women love peanut vendors. Additionally, for some reason, Jason talks about the awesomeness of Bo Jackson. As is custom with the Baseball Special, Jason shares a celebrity encounter from his days at Royal Stadium and, this year, tells us about meeting Bob Uecker. Closing out the segment, we get Jason's predictions for 2013 as well as upcoming book projects and speaking engagements.

Esteemed UFO author Richard Dolan joins us to round out the cavalcade of paranormal stars talking about baseball. We start the conversation by getting Rich's take on the sad state of the New York Yankees as the 2013 gets underway as well as the surprising upswing for teams like the Toronto Blue Jays and resiliency of the Tampa Bay Rays. Rich also talks about R.A. Dickey's amazing season last year and how he has managed to keep the knuckleball alive in the baseball. We also get Rich's take on developments in the National League, including the emergence of the Washington Nationals as well as the potential demise of the Philadelphia Phillies. Additionally, Rich shares his one desire for baseball to improve itself going forward into the future. Rich also unveils his 2013 predictions, including the two teams that he personally (and surprisingly) hates. Wrapping things up, we find out what's next for Rich Dolan, including a promising new book due out this Summer.

Wrapping up this year's festivities, we welcome usofe.com member shotz90s, also known as Mike, who won the 2012 listener predictions contest and, thus, the right to appear on this year's special. We start by trying to decipher the name 'shotz90s' and find out the origins of this cryptic moniker. In light of Mike's residence in Minnesota, we get his take on the downfall of the Minnesota Twins and learn why they are so terrible all of a sudden. We also talk about the recent injury of former Twin pitcher Johan Santana as well as whether or not manager Ron Gardenhire is on the hot seat with the team struggling so badly. Closing out the conversation, we get Mike's predictions for the 2013 baseball season.
